Destin area rental?

Has anyone vacationed in this area that could recommend a great place to stay? DH, myself, DD 15 & DD 11. Would like something similar to a DVC home-away-from-home with ocean view on the beach. Pool & resort amenities (spa services would be great too!) Did an internet search & came up with confusion. Looking for personal recommendations. TIA!!

Haven't been there myself but have read good reviews of Fairfield Destin at Majestic Sun. I may know of people interested in doing a direct exchange or an owner rental so feel free to PM me with details if that interests you. HTH.

I haven't actually stayed at these places so maybe someone else can give you more info. We like to stay at smaller places.

My in-laws live in Destin but don't have a place large enough for us to stay so we have rented at quite a few places. Our favorite was Silver Shells. They do have spa services.Try www.silvershells.com. Also try destinvacation.com. We have rented a Silver Shells unit through this company and they were cheaper at the time. We have never stayed at Silver Beach but it is owned by the Silver Shells people and is very new. You will see it on the silver shells web site. I also know friends who have loved Jade East and Inn at Crystal Beach. I believe you will see pictures of these units on the destin vacation.com site. These are all very nice DVC type accomodations except the pools are not unique like the disney ones. The Sandestin places are also very nice (dh's mom works at the real esate office there) but we haven't rented there lately because it is a little farther away from the main center of Destin where dh's parents live now. They have a great outlet mall there. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

I have been going to Destin Fl for many years every summer. Typicaly we stay at the Holiday Beach Resort http://www.condosinc.com/. We usualy get a studio here, they very similar to the DVC studios but with a bigger kitchen. Their is no spa service thow.
My farther owns a codo at Tops'l Summit which cookie2001 gave you a link too. Sand Destin is about 10 miles from Destin. Tops'l has a whole health club/tennis resort with spa services.

FYI. Don't know if you'd considered the DVC World Passport Collection resorts close to the Destin area: Marriott's Legends Edge at Bay Point (Bay Point) and Ocean Towers Beach Club (Panama City Beach). You can view the Marriott's through the Marriot Vacation Club website and I just looked at Ocean Towers's website through a search of the resort. They are also on the DVC website, but individual sites have more info. Don't know if these are anything like you're looking for.

Destin is a fabulous location, gorgeous beaches, family-friendly, plenty to do, and tons of good restaurants. (Captian Daves is excellent.) We have been there many times, in fact currently looking to purchase condo there. I suggest that you call Abbott Resorts to request a rental catalog to look over what is available. The Crescent is in my humble opinion one of the best, with only four floors, about 68 units, and right on the beach with a great pool. Anyway, look thru Abbott's information and also check vrbo.com, cyberrentals.com & vacationrentals.com for owner rented resorts. Abbott's phone number is 800-336-4853. Don't miss Fudpuckers or the Big Kahuna while you're there!
