Desserts?

I have a question about desserts, I'm not a huge evening dessert person, I'd rather get something during the day, and I love my sweets-is this available anywhere? Seems odd they don't have these more quick service. We are going on our second cruise this December, and I only managed to get really good desserts in the MDR or occasionally at Cabanas. We didn't try anywhere like lumiere's for lunch though.

Thanks!

The one time I went into Cove Cafe it was antipasti type things, I will have to look more than once!

Magic, that is helpful info!

You can also call room service and ask for the cake of the day. Its typically a cake they have in the dining room that night and we've done that several times to eat while we sit on our veranda while the kid is napping. She doesn't really nap anymore so I guess this year she'll get to enjoy the cake with us! :)

That's more late in the day. Earlier it's bakery items. Cabanas has desserts on the buffet during lunch and you can get cake of the day, key lime pie, cookies, Mickey Bars from room service.

The chocolate chip blondies (they labeled them 'pucks' I guess since they're round) from cove cafe on the magic were my favorite.

The Dream now has Vanellope's, and even though those cost extra they look pretty good (I haven't been yet but am looking forward to browsing!) Which ship are you on?

They only have carrot cake on embarkation day at lunch. At lunch on embarkation day is when you can get the best desserts. Imo

We always stop by cove cafe on the Fantasy and Wonder to get a little plate of sweetness when going to trivia, bingo etc during the day. We've also the cake of the day in the afternoon after excursions.

I am glad someone else said this. I thought it was just me. There is a lemon one that I love and look forward to. Though IMHO nothing tops the Grand Marnier Soufflé

You could ask for your dessert to go in the mdr and put it in the fridge until the next day.

The hot cookies from room service are also yummy. I don't like them as much once they cool down. Somehow they are better than the other cookies elsewhere on the ship (as long as they are warm).

Thanks all! I had a toddler with a melt down and missed dessert on embarkment day-I'll have to make a point of it!

Vista Cafe on Deck 4 of the Fantasy also has little desserts during the day that you can get.

Have ordered the cookies many times on 4 cruises and never were they warm. Feel like I missed out. I always wondered what all the hoopla was over the cookies from room service, we enjoy them but find them just ok

The Cove Café has little plain cupcakes, brownie bites, carrot cakes and something else I cannot recall. They are really great for a quick pick me up. :)
Also, at the quick service area they have chocolate chip cookies (and I think I saw Oatmeal there too) On Thursdays (well, this time it was Friday) there were parmesean cheese filled pretzels and cinnamon sugar pretzels. YUM!

Afternoon desserts are available from the Cove Cafe - no need to purchase a coffee drink. If you order cookies from room service, they are not the large cookies served at the buffet. They are smaller and you have to ask them to warm them up if that's what you want. Enjoy!

I always specify "hot" and they have always arrived warm. Do you ask for them to be hot?
