Can you get desserts to go from Table Service restaurants???

My daughter wants to eat at Alfredos for our trip this September, because she wants to get the Ladybug dessert she had last year.

My thing is, I don't want to eat a full dinner here. I've been trying to eat at a different country each trip & I'd rather try a different restaurant.

Will they allow to order the Ladybug dessert to go???

Anyone know :confused3 !

Thanks!

I've never done it, but wouldn't see any immediate reason to not allow it.

Sorry I don't have a definite answer to your question, but was curious about the ladybug dessert. Sounds cute, what is it? I didnt' see it on the allears menus!!

I guess it doesn't hurt to ask! I'll make a PS just in case, but I wanted to see if anyone has done this before.

The ladybug dessert is a childs dessert that is strawberry mousse shaped like a ladybug & little candies all around.

If you click on the following link, it has a small picture of the dessert.

My daughter really liked it.

Why don't you go there just to have coffee and dessert?

If I understand you right, I did this last year. I ate at R&C, but wanted to take dessert to go to eat back in my Villa at BWV. They had no problem boxing one up for me. And I would think that if you just went to the check-in desk for a take-out dessert, they'd be able to do it.

I was thinking about that, but I didn't want to take away the extra tips from the server that they would get from someone eating a full meal.

I guess I can just wait until I arrive. I won't make a PS & if it's not crowded at the restuarant, I can asked to be seated just for dessert (that way I won't feel guilty). If they are crowded, I can ask at the prodium if I can the dessert to go. If they say no, I will just have to take my daughter elsewhere to get a special dessert!

This maybe a little bit different but I have always been able to get "take-out" soup from LeCellier. We always like to eat around the world so we don't like to have a sit down dinner (although we just love LeCellier) and since CAnada doesn't have a counter service we always just ask at the entrance to LeCellier. We make sure that we go early because they won't do it for you if it's really busy. I think that other restaurants would do the same with desserts. Good luck... the lady bug dessert sounds great!

Hi Mamakate,
Thanks for the pic of the Ladybug! How cute!

I understand this concern. We actually really enjoy going into restaurants just for coffee and dessert. We definitely go during off-peak hours, we let the CM know before we're seated that dessert is all we want, and if there's any hint of hesitation, we usually promise to be out of there in around 20 minutes (for us, that's usually enough time to take in the ambience, take a break for ourselves and we're ready to get going again!) I leave a slightly higher tip, too.

That being said, I would really be surprised if you weren't able to get a take-out! Good luck and have fun!! :Pinkbounc
