Desserts from TS restaurants to go

Has any one gone to a TS resaurant to get a dessert to go? Is this possible? Would you need a ressie?

One person (on the Tipping Thread) just yesterday mentioned going into Brown Derby and getting a piece of grapefruit cake to go because when they tried to get it at Starring Rolls, the latter was closed.

The poster DID say they were required to pay an 18% gratuity on the price of the cake (in addition to its cost and the sales tax) - just so you're prepared.

Take out, meaning that you walk up to a restaurant and order something to go, is not usually available at WDW table-service places. They're just not staffed for it. They'll occasionally do it on a case-by-case basis if they're not busy.

Now, if you've eaten a meal there and would like to have your dessert wrapped up to go, they'll be happy to do that for you.

is it possible to go to one of these places and just get dessert? (paying oop of course!)???? I'm looking at the menus and have found that I love the deserts at some places but HATE the entree...

I wish they could UPS or FedEx me desserts... LOL... I just LOVE them!!!! seriously that is one of the things I am looking forward too when we go back!!!!!
