Desserts at dinner

Chocolate Lava cake was real good. I don't remember what the other one was called, but it had strawberry and dulce de leche ice cream with caramel and chocolate sauce on it. Very yummy! I was real tired of chocolate by the end of the cruise!

Palo souffle (sp?) is heaven in chocolate form and the Cherries jubilee. Oh yeah the Key Lime Pie!

Has anyone ever asked for half orders of desserts? I wanted to try tasting a couple of different ones at the dinners (they all sound so yummy) but don't really need to eat two (or more!) whole dessert portions each night. :teeth:

It's the best.

I've been known to order two desserts . . . and they never seem to mind! I know, I know. I'm a glutton!

Warm Chocolate Lava Cake!
One nigth one of our tablemates jokingly said he couldn't decide and to bring one of everything. They did! Which really worked out well. We all got to try each of the desserts that night.

Desserts are one of the many reasons we rebook each year! :flower:

I do not ever miss: (well, yes I DO miss them when we're not sailing, LOL!)

From Palo:

chocolate souffle

Palo brunch:

lemon meringue pie
stollen w/whipped cream, berries and jam

Dinner:

cherries jubilee
chocolate lava cake

Along with the Chocolate Lava Cake there are the White Chocolate Covered Domes (in Lumiere's I believe) Since it's really just a White Chocolate shell over ... something else thats yummy, it's not as intense as the Lava Cake - but both are great!!

That's the best!

And, I have to admit, the Mickey Bar from the kids dessert selections is awfully nice after lunch! :earsboy:

I was just going to say that of ALL of the desserts, my husband and I thought the Mickey bar was the best. Not as sophisticated as many of the others (which were also delicious), but that Mickey Ice Cream bar is just simple heaven on earth. YUM! :mickeybar

It doesn't get better then creme brulee!!!!! Regular or cheesecake style - yum yum yum yum.

I'm drooling just thinking about it.

The Palo souffle is my favorite!

Creme brulee` was wonderful!

Don't get the Grand Marnier Souffle! Yuck! Had a 2nd creme brulee` instead.

The white choc. mousse at PC for first lunch was wonderful!

Don't waste the calories on the "Floating Island of Tropical Fruit Treasures".
This is on the Pirate Night Menu in PC. It was a meringue chest with fruit and berries atop vanilla sauce. Get the "Shiver-me-Timbers white chocolate cheesecake" instead.

The chocolate souffle from Palo is a must. Don't make the mistake of ordering only 1. No, really...order 2. You'll thank me later.

From "regular dining":

Chocolcate Lava Cake. I actually ordered the Cherries Jubilee and put it _with_ the Chocolate Lava Cake!! :cloud9:

The banana caramel ice cream dessert from Pirate Night

The crepe bar at the late night dessert buffet.

The rest of the late night dessert buffet - especially the swan-shaped cream puffs. :cool1:

The Baked Alaska on the last night is pretty good, too...

Mmmmmm. DCL desserts..... (Sorry, I'm now having a Homer Simpson moment...)

How funny different tastes are. I did not care for the Banana Caramel Dessert. It was the only dessert I had the whole time that just didn't taste great. It was OK.

Oh No I have put on pounds just thinking of all that lovely food. Perhaps I could skip dinner and have extra desert. :cloud9:

I'll echo half the board in mentioning the Palo souffle. That's the easy one.

I don't know about the creme brulee. We're not fans of the taste of any cremem brulee, so I can't judge the one on the ship. I've been told, though, that it's wonderful.

For me, I think the one that springs to mind is the Fudge Cake at AP. I've said it before, I'll say it again: "Ain't no cake in the Fudge Cake". Prepare to get a block of fudge that's basically the same size as the little "trunk" your cruise docs arrived in.

Holy cow.
