Dessert...

Ohhhh...

The Champagne Brunch Lemon Meringue pie is out of this world. And I don't even care for meringue pies! They do something with cinnamon that makes it outstanding!

Also, can't forget about those freshly made crapes! With chocolate and strawberries! Who ever heard of breakfast having dessert anyway!?!?

You are totally selling me on the Palo brunch! I guess I have to lose more weight before next summer!!!!!!lol Any chance you guys will switch to an earlier cruise to show me the ropes??????

My kids ALL had cheesecake every night, whether on the menu or not. I loved Palo's chocolate souffle, my DH, Dad and Step mother loved the tarimisu (sp?) at Palo (they did not care for the souffle - :upsidedow ). The Bananas Foster was FABULOUS!

OK I have 2 words for your dessert question

CREME BRULEE

Can't wait to go back just for the Creme Brulee

Joanna

The great thing about dessert on a Disney cruise is you don't have to pick one. You can have them all. With our tablemates, Trekker and family, zyezye and friend, and my husband and myself had all the desserts. Our waiter, Sean (or Shawn) from Canada would bring us all the desserts and enough spoons so we could try them all. I know zyezye's fav was the Creme Broule.

Hands down, the chocolate souffle from Palo. DH does not like chocolate, yet ate almost all of mine! It was fantastic!

Second was the carmelized cheescake!!

Another REALLY good dessert is those huge butt chocolate chip cookies that they set out by Pluto's sometimes. The brownies are ok, but those cookies....OOH! Yum yum :):hyper:

Of course, they don't compare to Publix cupcakes, but that's ok....;)

It was on the kids menu, but it was some sort of brownie with white stuff on it....zebra brownie maybe? Anyone know what it's called. I ordered it for the kids ;) but since they didn't want it I had to eat it.:hyper:

And of course the huge chocolate chip cookies at Castaway Cay are pretty yummy too.

I found my favorite at Topsiders lunch buffet one day. It tasted like a super rich Mounds Bar cake. Very thick layer of gooey coconut and thick rich gooey dark chocolate. Best desert I ever had in my life! Gosh, I wish I would have gone back for seconds! If you like Mounds bars you will love this! Wish I had a recipe!

Man, I just had a Mounds Bar out of my DD Halloween bowl a little bit ago, the dessert you described sounds fabulous!!!

Oh yes VMan, it was fabulous! Sure hope I can find it when we sail next Sept. I will have to beg for the recipe!

ragdoll... I haven't cruised with DCL yet, but the dessert you mention sure sounds like a "Better-Than-S*X Cake". Have you ever had this cake before? It is wonderful!

disneyfan, I have never heard of that cake before. Do you have a recipe that you could share with me?

I have the Weight Watchers version of this cake. If you are interested in this low-fat version, just pm me! Otherwise, you may be able to do a search on the 'net to find the "regular" one! It really is good, and simple to make!:D

I would like the WW recipe of this dessert. Can you post it or e-mail it to me.

Thanks
Joanna

mjasp...no problem! i just emailed the WW recipe to you! you'll love it! ::yes::

Thanks
Joanna
