Can anyone tell me which table service restaurants allow you to get dessert to go?

Spoodles gave us our dessert to go last December. They were also nice enough to prepare DH’s dinner to go as he remained in the villa not feeling well. I know we did it at a couple other places, but my memory being what it is, I can’t remember which ones.

Whispering canyon let us take ours to go as well as some others.

I can't think of why any restaurant wouldn't let you take your dessert to go. :confused3 Has anyone been unable to take dessert to go?

Thanks for the info. I know that buffets won't let you take dessert to go, but am wondering if all of the TS will or just some of them. Where I'm on the meal plan that includes desserts with the TS meal, I may be pretty full after the meal and it would be nice to have a sweet treat later (assuming it's not ice cream). The places I'm specifically looking at are:

50's Primetime Cafe
Concourse Steakhouse
Le Cellier
Rose & Crown

We ate at LeCellier last year as part of the CP package. We got our dessert to go and ate it while watching Illuminations.

We got our desserts to go from:
Concourse Steakhouse and Whispering Canyon Cafe. I know we got them from other places too...as long as it was travelable they packed it up for us without a problem. With the free dining I was much too full for dessert but loved having something to snack on back at the hotel later at night and didn't want to go to the food court. we also stocked up on the brownies at counter service as those traveled really well...We had a half dozen left to bring home by the end of the trip too :teeth:

Rose and Crown does. DH and I took our guiness cake to go in May. The cast member in the english tea shop offered me a bag to carry it in, too.

I'm with you guys on getting dessert to go, but my only concern is we won't always be going straight back to the resort. We'll have to carry it for a few hours; then I'm not sure it will be any good. :confused3 What do you all think?

We took our desserts home with us at every TS we ate at. We were too stuffed to eat dessert, so we had them for breakfast the next morning

The desserts traveled well..unless of course it would melt. But other than that they were packed up and bagged everywhere we went so they were easy to walk around with. Think grocery store paper bag. The only downside would be if you were going to hit some major rides after dinner, then it would be interesting to say the least...maybe thats where pineapple upside down cake got it's name :rotfl:

Last year we had an anniversary dinner at Germany buffet. They were nice enough to give us a Mickey Mouse cake (served about 6-8 people - there were 6 in our group). We had a reserved spot for illuminations and had to be there at a specific time. They were so kind to put the cake in a plastic container (it was raining that night) and give us forks, napkins, and plates.
