I'm hopeing someone can enlighten me.....I have seen the pictures in the Disney Cruise line brochure of Animator's Palet and in them they show a dessert that is served on an artist's palet and it is served with a bunch of squeeze bottles that contain dessert sauces. It looks like you can "create" your dessert....sort of like painting.

We cruised the Magic last year and didn't see anything like this when we dined in AP. Did I miss something?

Does this dessert exist?

On our first cruise on the Wonder in 2000 you did not have a choice of dessert in AP. You were brought a sampling of different desserts all placed on a artist's palet. There were different sauces on each one in a fancy design. But we were not given any squeeze bottles to put sauces on ourselves. In 2001 on the Magic it was gone and you picked what you wanted. I have however on our other cruises in 2002, 03, and 04 seen the plates used for other desserts in AP.

They have done away with that dessert theme.....it actually was not as great as it looked.....the dessert they brought out to "decorate" was sort of a non-descript gray blob on a plate (not very appetizing looking). ....
I prefer the desserts now much better!!!

They brought out a Mickey Mouse supposedly made of some sort of chocolate mousse. That was back in the days when the parade in Animator's included sparklers too (I miss that!). But it wasn't too tasty, so they switched to the sampler and then finally to your choice of dessert. Back in those days, the appetizer was brought out on a black and white palate plate and they dessert was brought out on an identical but colored palate plate.
