I am trying to choose between Epcot & Sago Point so any help or opinions please!

Please give all opinions! We are inviting 20-25 guests. :)

Epcot
1. Does anyone have any menus for Epcot?

2. at Epcot its 22 per person minimum, then we add 28& taxes & fees? SO really the minimum is like 28 ish? ANd Sago is 30 min but acutally 38.40? WOuld wedding cake count?

3 Do you get to pick which location you want in Epcot? Id like Uk Upper,is it hard to get? Does that 250 venue fee have taxes added to it? Fees?

3. The view fee is 12.95 do we add taxes & fees?

Sago Cay

1. is the view ok from here to understand Wishes? Or is it to the side or skewed at all? Not sure where SC is in relation to Wishes.

2. Its 500 minimum + txes & fees? Then 800 + taxes & fees for music?

3. Can we use outside photo here?
4. Can we have our wedding cake be part of minimum spend requirement?

Which fireworks do you like more? Thats how I would decide.

I am also curious about wedding cake counting towards the minimum. If we do an epcot DP after dinner at the LSS I really wanted to just have wedding cake and a candy bar outside and stay away from the typical menus.

I don;t think the wedding cake counts, as it doesn't count for a food/bev min at any other locations, so I assume it wouldn't count for dessert parties.

Sago Key
You can have an outside photographer as it's held at the Grand Floridan
Again, I don't think the cake counts.

Epcot

This menu is good through Sept. 2009: http://www.magicalkingdoms.com/ftw/wdw/menus/epcotdp.html

Yes, the minimum you will spend works out to be about $28/person with tax and service charge. If you put some sample numbers into the Wishes Budget Worksheet in PassPorter's Disney Weddings & Honeymoons, it will calculate this for you automatically.

ANd Sago is 30 min but acutally 38.40?

Sago Cay doesn't have a minimum per-person spend. It just has the minimum overall spend of $500. So with tax and service charge you're looking at around $639 if you can keep food and beverage to that $500.

ANd 3 Do you get to pick which location you want in Epcot? Id like Uk Upper,is it hard to get? Does that 250 venue fee have taxes added to it? Fees?

The sites you have to choose from depend on your party's size. If you have more than 50 people, they will make you use a bigger venue. Your planner will suggest the ones that work for your party's size. UK Upper is easier to get than UK Lower. The venue rental fee gets taxed; there is no service charge (but you may pay a small-party fee if you have less than 20 people).

3. The view fee is 12.95 do we add taxes & fees?

Only taxes. The rule of thumb is that service fees are only added to food and beverage (with the exception of audio-visual setup, which also gets a service charge). There's a handy chart on p. 50 of the book that will show you exactly what gets taxed and what has a service charge. :cutie:

Sago Cay

1. is the view ok from here to understand Wishes? Or is it to the side or skewed at all? Not sure where SC is in relation to Wishes.

Sago Cay faces the side of the castle, so Wishes' fireworks appear slightly to the left of the castle and do not line up the same way they do when you're watching from in front of the castle. But they're still beautiful!

Here's a link to a thread with pix of the fireworks from Sago Cay:

2. Its 500 minimum + txes & fees? Then 800 + taxes & fees for music?

As above, it's $500 food and beverage minimum plus taxes and service charge. It sounds like the price to have Wishes music piped in is actually around $500, plus tax, and then service fee (the service fee is not taxed for AV but is taxed for food and beverage).

3. Can we use outside photo here?

Yes - you can use outside photography everywhere except inside the parks.

4. Can we have our wedding cake be part of minimum spend requirement?
It is part of your minimum overall food and beverage spend (the $75/$100/$125 per person on your whole day required by Disney) but does not apply toward the venue-specific food and beverage minimum. There *may* be an exception to this at Sago Cay because it is at the Grand Floridian, where the cake comes from, but you would definitely need to ask your planner about that.
