Hi everyone! I'm planning a Wishes wedding and am hoping my friend, who will also be guest at our wedding, will be able to do my photography (we used to work together as photographers at another company. We have both since left and she has set up her own photography business). She knows exactly what style I will want, so i'm really hoping she will be able to do it. The only problem I feel i'm going to come across is the Epcot Dessert Party photography. I really want some great shots with us and the fireworks and I know you can't have any outside photographers for anything in a Disney Park. Do Disney do any smaller photography packages? On the website it just lists 6 hour, 8 hour and 10 hour packages, which obviously i won't need for an hour long DP. On the other hand, would my friend be able to do any photography for us in Epcot being as she is actually one of my guests? Any help or advice is greatly received as always! Thanks! :thumbsup2

I believe you can have DPS at your DP for an hourly price, or a 2 hour package. A few brides have been quoted prices for just their DPs.

We were told that it would cost $350 for two photographers for 1.5 hours of coverage. We are having our Dessert Party covered. HTH

I posted about this recently on another thread...

Here's my post:
Hi - I was recently told the current price is $350 for 1 Photographer for 1.5 hours. This includes a proof book, the pictures will be loaded on a website for your guest to view and you will get 30-50 loose keepsake 4x6 prints.

But, if you plan to purchase the CD of your DP photos, that will be an additional $750! :scared1:

Good luck with your decision!

Well the $350 doesn't seem too bad, but $750 for a CD is a bit much! Thanks for the info! :)

We are forgoing all prints, albums and online photos and we got it down to $650 if that helps. It's not much better I know! We ended up adding in an Epcot photo shoot so we will get more pictures but it is still painful.

lol. You're right, $650 is still pretty painful for a CD. Oh well, if that's the way it's got to be I can't do much about it. Are you having your Epcot shoot the next day? :)

Yes, we are doing the Epcot shoot the next day. We are getting picked up at 7:15am so it is not so bad!

The $650 was painful but I figured in the end I would want the pictures. If I was just doing the DP I probably wouldn't have gotten it. That and we were really close to our minimum so if people didn't drink enough drinks we would have gone under and then gotten charged anyway. At least that is how I am justifying it! :lmao:

I really want a Magic Kingdom shoot, would this count like how your Epcot shoot has? :)

I am a little confused. If I hire a photographer for my dessert party and I am already doing a magic kingdom shoot they will add the DP pictures to my MK photo shoot cd that I am already buying? So I would just pay $350?

Also anyone who has done a MK photo shoot do you think they did a good job taking pictures? Did the fire works come out nice?

Yes, they should all be on the same cd. We are paying more since it is Wishes wedding.

The cost of your CD goes down after 3 years. I am patiently waiting until our 3rd anniversary (only 1 year left) to purchase our CD. It was for a MK/DHS shoot and would've been $750, I have been told after the 3rd year we can purchase it for $500.
