Does anyone know how far in advance I can book a dessert party? Also, who do I call to arrange this? Does anyone have the phone number? Thanks so much!:goodvibes :dance3:

Hi Courtney,

I'm booking mine with everything else... we're going to do a dinner and dessert Illuminations party on Italy Isola as our rehersal dinner, and we are signing the contract for it when we sign the contract for our wedding. We are also planning it through our wedding planner (well, so far our coordinator), but we are doing a Couture wedding, which I think still falls under the custom-ish/wishes-like category, so I'm not sure if you can plan a dessert party through DFTW if you are having an intimate. I'm sure someone else on here will know for sure!!! :)

I'm not sure how far in advance you can set it up. I'm having an intimate ceremony-- I asked my planner who I would contact to set up a dessert party and she said I would do it through her. If you're an intimate, basically you can do it at Morocco or Japan. I think Japan is limited to 10 people. She even held the Morocco space for us until we decided for sure that we wanted to have the DP! She also emailed me menus and said that the menu choices should be submitted to her as well. HTH!

I'm not sure how far in advance you can book a dessert party, either. But I booked mine about 9-10 months in advance - also through my wedding coordinator.

Hope that helps. :goodvibes

We booked ours with everything else too. The dessert party was included in our contract.

When I asked my coordinator she said they can be booked 12 months out (we're doing an intimate). So if your're doing any intimate venue except the WP you can probably book it at the same time as you sign the contract. I booked ours at about 10 months out for Morocco.

hay girls i was woundering if you think that the desert parties are worth the money. were they fun, good atmosphere? god food? people have enough time?

do you think this would be fun for rehersal diner -welcome party?
if not any other suggestions

I think the prices are rather reasonable being Disney. I think it's a fun alternative thing to do instead of a dinner. You get dessert and entertainment. We're doing ours as a welcome party/rehersal dinner.
