Hi everyone!

I havn't been on th board in a while but mine and leigh's wedding suddenly seems very close, and i feel abit un prepared lol

We would love a dessert party but we don't really have that much info about them, apart from what my lovely sister has been telling us!

So we had a few questions, and if you could help it would be ace!

We're having an escape wedding and 18 guests all together, we have been told we can just pay the extra to make it up to 20 guests is this right?

does anyone have any sort of princing guide we could see?

any pictures of the locations? we were thinking maybe france, or england?

What desserts are there to choose from?

How long do the parties last?

How do we get all of our guests there? we've been told that we should get a mota coach so that we can all still wear our wedding clothes is this right? How much would that cost?

Any other info would be great! thank you all :goodvibes

If your ticker is correct don't worry you have plenty of time! When you get a planner they send you information about minimums and restrictions on locations etc.

Read through some PJ's that used the locations that you're interested in, and have a look through the BEO thread. That should help you get some rough ideas.

I agree with BecBennett you have a lot of time and can wait till your contact with Disney. In the meantime I would also recomend reading through the Planning Journals and completed Trip Reports using the links above to get some ideas.

I know I seem like a broken record on here sometimes but you can also download Passporters Disney Weddings and Honeymoons Guide e-book and read it cover to cover to get some more inspiration and information. It lists the info for Dessert Parties. Here is the link and it is worth the small fee. http://www.passporter.com/weddings.asp

Just remember that if you add a DP to your Escape package you will have to spend a minimum of $7500.00 (including your Escape package costs) before tax and service.
I think with the size of your party, you may not be offered France. It may be Morrocco or UK (if a larger party is not using it), but I may be wrong.
Happy planning !!!

I thought that you could book a dessert party for birthdays etc? i didnt know it was attatched to a minimum spend on the wedding. Have i got this wrong? im abit confused now lol

I think you used to be able to, but not any more.

It's a new rule about the minimum spend with Escape weddings that have DP's attached.

eek, well thats something to think about. Thank you for your help! We'll have to take a look at this one

If you're not doing a Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding, you can book a DP for another kind of celebration through Disney's convention department. But when you sign up for a DFTW, everything is run through them—which, for Escape weddings, now triggers a minimum expenditure.

ok thank you :)
it looks like were actually going to be spending that anyways, so worries over ^_^ thanks guys x
