OK so been busy trying to get an idea of what we want so that we can make a budget. We really would like a dessert party but just need to ensure that there are no other charges to add on.

We have currently allocated $1000 for the dessert party for 16 people (including bride and groom) and I believe everyone will already have the ultimate ticket for the parks so am I right in thinking that we do not need to add a viewing fee?

So if we had an Illuminations dessert party at Morroco apart from the venue hire price and the food and beverage minimum what else would we need to add?

or

If we had a Wishes dessert party at the Marina or Sago Cay (which do you think is better?) apart from venue hire, food and beverage minimum and an audio feed what else would we need to consider?

For Sago Cay the F&B min is $500, music is $500, small party fee is $50 (19 & under I think), don't forget tax and service charge on top. The Marina is generally for larger parties I think. Do you want table decorations?

I wouldn't want decorations as I have heard that once eveyone has plates and cups and bags everywhere there isn't much point.

The wishes dessert party may well push my $1000 budget if i did the audio feed. But perhaps a generous sponsor (i.e. the in laws) may cover the audio feed!

For Morroco, you'll have the site rental fee of $275 (plus tax), the F&B minimum of $22/pp (plus tax and service fee), $12.95 viewing fee for anyone who doesn't have park admission, and they may make you rent a bus to transport people backstage.

The bus is about $400.

You don't have to have the music, i'm not.

I am not renting the bus, I'm just telling everyone to walk through the international gateway and meet at UK. All I am getting is a luxury SUV for me and my DH it costs 150.00. Disney also makes you pay the viewing fee upfront and then after they have scanned everyone's park pass at the dessert party you get alotted that money back some how. I'm not sure how or when, it will probably be a check in the mail. But just be advised that the viewing fee has to be paid up front regardless of peoples park passes.

There are a few options other than the bus. There is also the motor coach and minivans. I was quoted $325 for the motor coach and $273 for the minivan.

As far as tickets go, about 1/2 of my guests will have park passes or day tickets. My coordinator is giving me bracelets for them to wear so that they don't have to come in with everyone else, and so I won't be charged for their viewing fees. We're only being charged for those coming in with us.

This thread has helped me a lot and while we're still having our dessert party in Italy, my boyfriend doesn't understand why Disney would charge 13 bucks to view the fire works and should be included in the venue. Its not costing them any more money if people are there or not there. They'll shoot the fire works if 5 people were there or 15,000 people were there anyway, sheesh. Crazy! it's already what 2000? to host the venue at Epcot? Unless I'm missing something, cue me in please. This is our opinion.

I assume its because you have to pay to go into the park, so the viewing fee is instead of having to have a ticket as if you do have a ticket they don't charge the viewing fee.

you're quick! Morroco doesn't seem too far from the International Gateway so fingers crossed I won't need to budget in a bus!

I was told that transport is required unless your DP is at the UK or France. Morocco is considered too far to walk (in bridal attire). Of course, as Disney seem to change the rules whenever it suits them, who knows LOL!

hmmmmm, i wish Disney would give consistent information. I chose Morrocco as I thought it would be the cheaper option but I guess if i need to get a bus the UK might be better financially!

If you are having an Escape, you will have to use Morocco (that is what I was told). We are having vans transport people, and I think they are $25 each, and 8 people can fit in each.
