Dessert Party--Groom's Cake

Hey Y'all,
I am planning on doing a rehearsal dinner then having a dessert party afterwards. Does anyone know if I can have a groomscake made by GF Bakery and then delivered to the dessert party? Does the dessert party allow for this?

Also, does anyone know how far in advance you need to book your dessert party?

A groom's cake is essentially a cake that the groom picks out. Often times, it may be themed based on the groom's alma mater, hobbies, etc. Since I am having an intimate wedding, I want to surprise my DF with one at our dessert party, if it is allowed. Since he went to Texas A&M, I want to have his groom's cake shaped in the state of Texas (of course), with A&M stuff on top.

Yes we were considereing this and our planner was going to arrange it. You can send your planner pics of what you want and they will pass it on to the bakery.

I think you should book your dp with your wedding if possible.We are having our dp as a welcome party the night before the wedding and we requested it with our wedding dates. The areas fill up quickly!

what is a grooms cake?!?!? hehe. so funny how different parts of teh country are SO different. i have never been to a wedding WITHOUT a grooms cake!

I love the idea of a grooms cake although I do think it's more of a southern thing. I always think of the Armadillo in "Steel Magnolias"! Hahaha.

I'm sure the GF bakery can make one and deliver it. It's a great idea!
