Dessert Party - Great Review

I know there have been quite a few negative comments on the dessert party lately, but I would like to give another side to the story. My adult daughter and I attended in mid-October. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Yes, some of the desserts were a little "fancy", but it was nice to try different things. They were plenty of kid friendly desserts as well, cookies, rice krispie treats, brownies, but the food was not the star of the show. Having that view of the fireworks was worth every penny, even without the desserts. When it was time to start, people made their way along the railing. There was no pushing or crowding - there was room for everyone. When Tink flew overhead, and I mean RIGHT overhead, I was waving at her and she waved back at me. By the middle of the program I was containing myself not to sob (I know, a little overboard, but I was just overcome with emotion.) I would happily pay again just for the chance to have such a choice viewing of Tink and the show. We would do it again in a heartbeat.

I am taking my niece for her first time too WDW and it is her Birthday! So I have booked the dessert party for Dec 7th as a Birthday surprise and have not told anyone....:goodvibes

So DD and my Mom will be surprised too....

So happy too hear you enjoyed it...I know we will...We all have a sweet tooth and I will enjoy having a place too sit and not deal with the crowds for a change.....:cloud9:

Thanks for posting your review. Just went and checked the info about it and dang, is it REALLY up to $35.00 per person now? So you spend that much and what if it rains? I'm guessing you're SOL or do they offer refund/reschedule?

I didn't pay $35 pp, but I really don't remember what I did pay. It may have been around $26.99 maybe. Regarding refunds, I don't know. I do know that the terrace is under cover. I would assume that the party goes on rain or shine. I know Tink doesn't fly in the rain, but do they cancel the fireworks if it rains? I think I would ask CRO about the refund when booking.

I just booked and paid for it to go on 11/21. It was $27.00 and change per person.

Yes, they do cancel the fireworks in certain weather. No refund for no fireworks. I assume if the party happens you will not get a refund.

I enjoyed it when we went, but I don't see us doing it again. I wanted to do something special on our last night, so I surprised the rest of my family with it. While it was nice, it was not worth the price tag, IMO.

Thank you so much for sharing! We will be doing the party this Sunday the 14th as a surprise to our three children who all have a sweet tooth.

Do you still get assigned/reserved tables for your party? Thanks!
