I just love reading these boards. At 38 (and in a relationship) I am thinking a wedding just may not happen for me. But I still want a party for some reason and a Disney party at that! I am thinking to have my 40th b-day party in Disney. I have a least 3 groups of friends and their children who would come. Do you know if they do dessert parties for reasons other then weddings? I think I would even do some party favors (maybe m & m). If anyone else has any ideas I would love to here them. I would love to have the characters come but I doubt they do that unless it is a wedding or you are really rich.

I know this is the thread for only weddings but I figured you all were the best to answer my questions. Sorry for being off topic.

Yes you can have a dessert party for reasons other than a wedding. You would go through Epcot events although I don't have the number. I don't 'think' characters come to dessert parties at Epcot due to strict theming rules. ie. you could have Mulan in China but that's it. I think new character pricing is about $800 for one character for a 30 minute set.

i just had one in june and it was incredible. you do go through disney epcot events and we did it for our anniversary.

HI!

You can have any kind of event you want for a birthday!

We're having both a private dinner at the Grand Floridian and a Dessert Party in Epcot for our DD's bday in October.

Basically it's just up to you to decide what you want where and how much you want to spend!;)
