I know there is a dessert party at AK now, and I remember there were/are 2 different ones in MK. Is that is? Are there any in DHS or Epcot? Would you recommend any, and why? Were going the last week of October if that makes a difference seasonally...

MK has the seated party and two options for the standing view (an after party and a before party.

Epcot currently has the Frozen Ever After Dessert Party but no dates available after August I believe currently. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/epcot/frozen-ever-after-sparkling-dessert-party/ My family has done that one and it is very good. If it continues for your time frame it would be for the new Epcot Forever show.

HS has more of a dessert box option than a party for Fantasmic https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/fantasmic-dessert-vip-viewing/

HS also offers a Star Wars dessert party (also no dates available after August so who knows if it will continue) https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/dining/hollywood-studios/galactic-dessert-party/

IMHO Dessert Parties our way overpriced and this is from a guy who loves dessert. :)

Lol- they are called dessert parties but it’s not really about the dessert... it’s about the reserved seating more than anything. The SW dessert party and I think the frozen dessert parties include adult beverages as well. We liked the SW one so much last year we are doing it again this year. As well as trying the after HEA dessert party. We think it’s totally worth it, even if many others don’t.

The EPCOT dessert party is my favorite hands down.

I have done the MK x3, EPCOT x2 and Star Wars x3.

What I like best about EPCOT is the area has seats and you stay seated there to watch the show. Plus there is a bar! DH and I are more savory people and EPCOT has great savory options. A couple of sweets for us and that's it. We can drink our money's worth, as drinks at WDW are so expensive.

StarWars parties; The reason we do not like it as much as you are not seated in the same area that the show is. Our 1st party there were no seats, just tables. We were in the same area as the show.
2-3rd times we went, there were tables inside (A/C was wonderful) and then we were moved to our viewing spot. You could take your drink and a plate with your, but there was no place to put them. The full bar is awesome and the savory items are really good.

MK: We have done the parties for the private location only. The desserts were just a bonus. DH really does not like MK crowds for the fireworks, so the only way I can get him there is to book a dessert party. Do we get our money's worth, no. There is no bar. The savory items, I hear are better now, but when we went they were just ok.

Another option at EP is the Illuminations dinner at Rose and Crown. You get real an appetizer, meal, dessert and unlimited beverages which includes alcohol. And a good seat for Illuminations. We’re trying that this time around. Never did the Frozen dessert party so can’t compare the two, but if we were paying a high dollar amount, I’d rather have real food vs desserts.

The dessert parties just seem so overpriced...we just can't eat that many sweets at once. We did the MK one once in 2013 back when it was 'cheap' at $30/person and we didn't feel like we got our money's worth then. And the ones that include alcohol just aren't worth it to us...we'd pay for 4 'adults' and I'm the only one who drinks.
