My FIL sent an email asking about exchanging a dessert for an app on the DDP. Here's the response from DW": Does anyone think that with enough feedback there is the possibility of the DDP changing it's "rules" for '08? We're headed to OKW in August and we'd all prefer to split a few apps & share a few desserts over all desserts.:wave2:

Dear XXX,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World Resort.

While we appreciate your interest, dessert cannot be exchanged for
appetizer. You may order it separately and pay for it.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact
us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if
applicable on all correspondence.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Gail Williams

No, I don't think they will change the contract in 2008. Maybe in 2009, we'll just have to wait and see.

I agree, I don't think that they'll change it in 2008, and I even doubt that they'll change it in 2009 unless it affects their profits.

I agree! I think you should have your choice of either an appetizer OR a desert.

I think desserts are generally cheaper. Too bad. Some of the apps sound great!

I thought the deluxe was 3 meals ?
We have the two
one counter one table service and one snack
wow now really confused:confused3
can anyone show me where Diney has this writted ? I found this plan on thier site as well as confirmed with the booking agent

Here's http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-dining-plan.htm the information from the DIS home site, wdwinfo.com. In part, it states "For each night of your package stay you will enjoy:

1 Table-Service meal including entrée, dessert or full buffet, non-alcoholic beverage. Gratuity NOT included
1 Counter Service meal including entrée, dessert (lunch/dinner) and single serving non-alcoholic beverage or 1 complete combo meal, dessert (lunch dinner), 1 juice with breakfast and single serving non-alcoholic beverage "

Note that there is NO mention of appetizer.

This http://www.dreamsunlimitedtravel.com/packages/2008-packages.htm page includes information about the Deluxe Dining Plan, which states, again in part, "For each night of your package stay you will enjoy three meals per person, per night at a choice of:

Table Service Restaurants Full buffet & non-alcoholic beverage

OR

Appetizer, entree, non-alcoholic beverage and dessert (except at breakfast)

Quick Serve Restaurants One entree OR one complete Combo Meal

One dessert (Lunch or Dinner) or one juice (breakfast)

One single serving of a non-alcoholic beverage

2 Snacks "

Oh, Poop
Oh, well that would be way too much food anyway
I did think who would eat 4 apps plus 4 dinners then 4 desserts ( for the 4 of us of course) per meal :thanks:
