Disney doesn't just allow DPs for weddings - you can book one for any event or gathering. It might be wise to say you are booking the event for a 'family celebration' as there have been reports of brides being referred to DFTW from Event Planning to book DPs, and if that happened, you would potentially be in the realms of having to meet certain minimums.
Also, remember that being a S/D bride (yay for S/D brides!!!!), she will not be entitled to wear her wedding dress into any of the parks and would have to change for the DP if it were an 'Illuminations' one. It wouldn't be an issue if she has a 'Wishes' DP, as these are generally held at 'Sago Cay' at the GF and she can stay in her dress at the resorts. Keep in mind that if you opt for a 'Wishes' DP and want the music piped in, this will cost you more $$!! Good luck!!
