Hi everyone, thanks in advance for your help. I haven't eaten at the Blue Bayou in years and I was wondering if they let you make a PS to just have dessert there?

We are traveling with a bunch of little tykes and I dont think they would behave in there well enough for a whole meal. Dessert would be fun especially after seeing the Pirate themed ones. Ds would love this!

Is this possible? Plus, does anyone know if there is a max on the number of people you can make in 1 PS? Not just in the BB but for the birthday party for instance or does it vary by location.

Thanks!:)

I don't know about a max number of people. But I have heard of parties of 16 or 18. I would think that they would be able to accomodate any size that you have.

As for just dessert, yes you can. You make your ressies just like anyone else and you order whatever you want. You don't have to tell anyone that it's for dessert only.

Thanks got2travel!!!

Bring on the party AZ!!!

AZ, the max for us at Carnation Cafe was 8 last summer, we had to make 2 different PS's and sit at two tables right next to each other. Luckily me and you only make 7 total, but for times when we meet the others, we will have to coordinate and make 2 PS's!!

Yes we should make our BB dessert res when we can, we just have to decide which night!!!

 "when we meet the others???"

I just read Got2travel said 16-18 so it muse vary by location because they would not let us do more than 8 at CC!!!

Dizzy, are you joining us for dessert at BB? That would be cool. Also I read another post by you that you will be there the 7th-11th. Our hotel reservations are till the 12th, are you leaving a day before us?

Andrea

We did the just dessert at BB last time we went. My advice after reading some other people's accounts though is don't tell them when you make the reservation that you only want dessert. I've read a few people saying they were told they couldn't do that. When we went I just made a late ps and told the waitress after we were seated that we only wanted dessert. It was fun because of the atmosphere, but the dessert really wasn't that great and I don't think it will be something our family feels the need to repeat.

Oh I didn't mean it that way, I'm sorry don't cry! I just meant that since AZ and I don't have DH's going, we'll probably end up eating more meals together than with all the other hyenas just because I'm sure your DH won't want to meet us for every single meal on your family vacation!!!

Thank you so much for the information! I'm so excited for this. I dont think we will have more than 16 so we should be good!

BTW I love the pictures in your sig! Pirate wenches rule!!!

I was thinking the same thing. I am just making the PS, I'm not even going to mention our intentions!! Thanks

I totally agree with you stagemom....although I did go to lunch there and it was good, I was totally looking forward to my creme brulee trio and it was decent but the flavor of the custard was very bland...they served these cookies with it and topped it with a fresh raspberry and that helped alot!...Im not sure I would go there just for the dessert either

Nope he's coming with us for everything! I have to keep my eye on him and am afraid he will try to steal Bambi again if out of my sight! So we have 11 permanent people!

Thanks for posting this! That's a great tip to keep in mind. I'm sure it will be after dinner or lunch somewhere else so I won't bring it up until we are seated!

Again everyone thanks for the help!

Good, alright then she's with us no matter what!! I think all three of us need to pick atleast two sit down and two counter that we really HAVE TO/WANT TO eat at while there and atleast one that we want to try that we never have and see if any of them match!

Here's mine:

Counter: French Market (lunch only-french dip only served at lunch!)
WWS

Sit Down: Naples
Storyteller's Cafe

One I'd like to try: Goofy's Kitchen (first night???) or Hook's Pointe

Your turn ladies!!

I am excited to see Disney with another group - we pretty much go in and do the same thing everytime! Never been to Goofy's Kitchen, so definitely would like to try it!! We were going to go in Oct when we stayed at DLH, but we changed to the GCH.

AZ and I were discussing doing it for dinner around 7-8 that first day on Thursday? What do you think? Just because the kids will be tired so it's kinda fun and LOUD in there, just a fun way to kick off the trip.

Or should we do a breakfast? My problem with that is we aren't big breakfast eaters in my clan so I can't justify the breakfast cost!! Even though dinner costs more, we will eat WAY more for dinner.

Andrea

Dinner at Goofy's on the first day sounds fun!!!! what a great way to start the trip!

Should we do BB desert after lunch or dinner one evening?

I think after dinner on a busier night like Saturday so that the other days, we can take advantage of later shows and less crowds. Thursday is out for sure, Friday I thought we could see EP or fireworks since those will be WAY busier on Saturday night. And I didn't want to do dessert there Sunday if we are doing that Birthday Party that day. Don't know, what do you think?

Sounds like you all are going to have a fun trip.

Just wanted to pop back in here and address the 8 limit at Carnation Cafe. Its such a small venue that's probably why they have a limit. I think with 16 you'd almost fill the whole place.

My opinion on Goofy's, it makes a great late breakfast/early lunch break. Get in the park early, hit all the good stuff, collect Fastpasses for later in the day. Then just when everyone else is waking up and getting to the park, you're headed out for a nice break. Goofy's has brunch food, so it's not all eggs and pancakes (although those are there too) and you're paying the breakfast prices. I did Goofy's once for dinner and just didn't enjoy it as much as brunch.
