We plan on trying different desserts around the world at epcot. any suggestions?????? This will be our first time at epcot. Thank you

I LOVE anything from the bakery in France, but especially the Napoleons. Also the apple strudel with cream sauce in Germany. :goodvibes

I second the apple strudel from Germany, yum! I also like chocolate crepes from the France kiosk. Usually by the time I get to Mexico, I get a margherita instead of dessert though!

At Alfredo's in Italy we had the chocolate cake with marscapone cheese filling. Great moist cake and with the filling it wasn't too chocolate. This is a great dessert to share with a friend because they give you two small slices on one plate. It is a great presentation, topped with dark chocolate and white chocolate shapes. We had espresso with it which was a nice complement. Outside of American Adventure we had warm funnel cakes topped with powdered sugar which were delightful because it was cold outside. The bakery in France was great but don't miss the crepe stand across from chefs de france, the crepes were delicious and not as heavy as something rich and cream filled. Epcot is a dessert lovers paradise. The shops also have a great selection of candy and chocolates. It's fun to sample chocolate from each country and take some home with you. Epcot also has the best selection of coffees in WDW and if you're a wine lover, you can do wine tastings in Italy, France and Germany for about $6-$10 and get a nice selection. All of the sit down restaurants are wonderful but you will get much better service for lunch than dinner because dinner tends to get crowded. Try counter service for dinner, Mexico and UK have the best. OK , I'm getting hungry now. Hope you enjoy your trip.

:goodvibes Raspberry (or strawberry) gateau from Norways Kringla Bakery :thumbsup2 Gelato from the Italian ice ceam cart near Alfredos. Something from Boulangerie Pattisserie in France. All of these desserts are quite large portions dont know whether I could eat more than 1. Would have to share and I hate sharing.

:worship: Apple Struedel from Germany!!!!!
:worship: Funnel Cake with the Strawberry Topping from America (I think. There's a Funnel Cake Stand somewhere)!!!!!
Dancing Bananas!!!!

Last time I was at DW Epcot was being built (1981) so I am looking very forward to Epcot. A lot of the sit down restaurants had interesting items on their menu, but I would rather move around and sample from each country. Can you get some of the sit down menu items without actually sitting down. I know they have a bunch of counter service places just dont know if they are as good as the actual restaurants. I have also heard a lot of good things about the rice cream at the norway bakery, any one agree with this?

During the Food & Wine Fest, France had a great chocolate creme brulee. I also love the strudel from Germany. I also love the baklava in Morocco.

kaki-gori from Japan, plus a trip through their store to see what snacks catch my eye :) Crepes from France and the lingonberry dessert thingie at Akershus. (I liked the rice cream as well, but I do like a good lingonberry dessert. mmmmmm)

School bread in Norway, apple strudel with cream sauce in Germany and DH loves the eclairs in France

Creme brulee or nectarine tart in France; rice cream, berry tart, or almond kringla in Norway; german chocolate cookie from Germany; baklavah from Morrocco; tiramisu in Italy.

What is Kaki-gori, lingonberry dessert and rice cream??????

Kaki-gori is basically a snow cone. Rice Cream is s type of rice pudding, but it is very creamy and has a strawberry sauce topping. I never heard of a lingonberry dessert there.

Oh, kaki-gori is so much better than a snow cone. :) Shaved ice with flavorings.

The lingonberry dessert we got at the TS (haven't checked the bakery, but I think there is a lingonberry flavored dessrt there, maybe the Cloud Horns??) and it was a kind of tart with lingonberries and a streusel topping. Mmmmmm

My favorites:

Baklava at the stand in Morrocco

Tiramisu at the stand in Italy

Kaki Gori at the stand in Japan

Rice Cream at the bakery in Norway

I always wanted to try the bakery in France but it is always mobbed!

Enjoy!
