I can't wait to ride with the minions! Hmm we have AP's but I'm not sure DH will go for a last minute trip! Maybe we need a long weekend at the end of summer.

I got the email earlier today about the early admission sign up. Just signed up for Wednesday the 27th. I lucked out and will be in town solo for that one day. Time to pack the Minion shirt.

Rode DM on Friday, but just had to comment on the Star Tours thing first. I really like ST, but, it's always stuffy. In fact, I said to my DH when we got off this last time that since a lot of people get motion sickness on simulators, the least they can do is make it really cool in there to reduce that effect.

Anyhow, on to DM. They were having technical difficulties early Friday morning, but we did manage to ride it mid-day. Posted wait was 60 minutes, but we only waited 30. I thought the pre-show was really cute and liked how a minion was in the party room dancing when you got off of the ride -- my kids enjoyed dancing with him. I also liked the way the room/pods were set up.

Story line was good, but there was something out of synch in both my and DH's opinion with the video. Instead of being at ground level while you're "riding", you were a little below ground level -- it was just 'off' -- I guess they will work out those kinks, but you could tell it wasn't running perfectly yet. Also, maybe we were all just a little simulator-ed out, but while this ride was very good/cute, it wasn't any of our absolute favorites. YMMV
