We're planning our first family trip to DL in Oct. We want to travel Thursday to Thursday, if possible. We're going to fly into San Diego and spend 2 days there, then on the way to Anaheim do a couple of things in Palm Springs. That leaves us at DL on Mon-Wed.

If I'm remembering correctly I've read that fireworks/parades/special events may be limited to weekends only during Oct. Is that correct? Are we making a mistake not having any weekend days at DL? We'd like to see all parades, fireworks at least once and Mickey's Halloween Treat.

We also want to do Minnie's Breakfast, Goofy's Kitchen and Ariel's Grotto. Are they every day?

Does anyone have an idea when the schedule/hours will be out for Oct?

Thanks!

We have only done the October time once, but yes, all of the restaurants you mentioned is an everyday thing, unless the restuarant is closed for a refurb. for some reason. Weekdays in October I believe usually run as DCA 10-7ish, and DL 9/10-8/9ish. Weekends slightly extended at least for closing, most likely not for opening excpet maybe DL, DCA usually has a later opening regardless of time of year.

There should be plenty of parades, just check Disneyland.com for times, the OCtober schedule I expect to see up in June sometime, at least I hope. Fireworks I do belive is only on the weekends at that time do to early closing schedule, could be wrong on that, but when we were there Tues-Thurs last year there were no fireworks.

Remember, if you want to get the most out of your day rides wise, you need to be there early. You might want to limit your character meals to give you more park time. Goofy's is fine for dinner, and you will see princesses and minnie there (as well as Chip and dale, and goofy, pluto etc).

Just a thought!

I would do Goofy's for dinner, Minnies at the 10:30am seating on an early entry day and Ariel's for Lunch on another day. Counter service for the other meals. If you are interested in autographs, I say do as many character meals as you can to avoid standing in line forever

Thanks everyone. My kids love the character meals so I don't plan to drop any unless scheduling just doesn't work out. Looking at last year's hours we may need to rethink our days. We could always start out at DL and end in San Diego, but I was hoping to end with DL.

Thanks! That's kind of what I had in mind. Goofy's the night we arrive in Anaheim and the other 2 on park days.
