Ok,

I finally bit the bullet and downloaded PhotoImpact 12 (trial copy). I have been working with different designers and their real life takes over.

How do I take someone else's design into PhotoImpact and then adjust?

I read the designing thread and did some tutorials. Usually I can pick up a program like this pretty quick.

When I bring in a jpg from someone else, I am not sure how to make changes (sizing) and so forth.

Any advice would be helpful. I have 4 images to update and wanted to try and do them myself.

Thanks again in advance.

A jpg is a flat image that does not have the layering and other individual objects stored. You can re-size the entire image or select an area to resize. This can be difficult if the picture has alot of shading or is a photo. As for other changes like a name you would have to erase it manually then add the new one.

I have PhotoImpact 8 at work and to resize an image I use a resize command that's near the bottom of the format menu. I can be more specific when I get to work tomorrow. Maybe someone else with a newer version can be more specific.
