designing a ride

Is there a guide somewhere so that you can learn how to create a ride of your own? I'm having trouble knowing which pieces to buy. Thanks

I would suggest buying a starter kit. I usually buy two starter kits and 3 other piece kits to get started. Once you play around with the pieces you will get the feel of what you need.

I would recommend staying away from the river pieces for your first ride also. They are more difficult to work with because they can't turn in a 1 square radius.

No, not really. The best way is to just buy some pieces and throw them down and play with them. Also, visit a lot of the most peopled rooms in the guest list and take a look at their rides. And, if you have a teleporter to the Dis rooms, definitely take a look there. You can get lots of great ideas from
this crowd! Have fun!

This is the link to the DIS River Network. I believe only the teleporters must be river, and the rest of the ride can be whatever piece you like, or maybe all of it your own. Well I'm not sure, but I'm sure someone here will know: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=978321

If you lose the thread link, just go to the sticky at the top of this board "Dis VMK Projects, Contests & Thread Locations" and go down to "Dis River Network" and click.

You can add a room, or just visit!

A lot of the dis member have teleporters to the main dis room now.
Just find one of us online and see if you can get us to let you follow us in there.
Next time you are online just type in any of our names under the room search. you may find us that way! lol

I have a pretty extensive ride with all the different ride parts, if you would like to come and take a look and I can give you some pointers and answer some questions for you.
