Has anyone stayed here? I have a couple ?'s.

1. How was the room quality/overall stay
2. How long was the walk to the entrance
3. What time did the complimentary breakfast start?

Thanks.

1. Bugs. There were roaches crawling around the room. The bathroom was dirty and the sheets were scratchy. The room smelled moldy. Parking was terrible and when we were trying to leave in the morning we couldn't because the entrance/exit only had enough room for one car and the garbage truck was blocking it for 5 minutes.
2. Entrance was right across the street.
3. Didn't want to try the breakfast after the bugs in the room.
It was a cheap room but I would gladly spend a little more to stay at a nicer motel.

I think this poster is thinking about the Desert Inn and Suites, not the Desert PALM. The Desert Inn is right across the street. We've stayed there; it's basic, clean and inexpensive with large suites.

The Desert PALM, which you're asking about is farther away. It's walkable, but it's a long walk. They had renovations done a couple of years ago. It has gotten mixed reviews. I'd check with tripadvisor.com or mouseplanet.com in their reviews section and see what people have said.

I don't know about the Desert Palm. But, we just got back from 3 nights at the Desert Inn and Suites. Location is great - right across the street from main enterance.

Our room was clean. It's a very basic room. We paid $99 per night so I wasn't expecting anything more than a basic room so we weren't disappointed. I didn't have any trouble parking. It met our needs given that we were just there for sleep and showers.

Breakfast was just toast and pastries, OJ, milk and coffee.

Compared to the Park Place Best Western (stayed there last August), this was a bit nicer. The Candy Cane rooms and breakfast are better but the Desert Inn is a much quicker walk.

If you can get a good rate and are OK with very basic, but clean rooms, you'll be OK at the Desert Inn.
