Desert Inn to an Angels game

Hello and thanks in advance. My family will be staying at Desert Inn and Suites again (love the hotel) and I am taking my father in law to a ball game. It looks close enough that it will be a pain to drive and park there (not to mention $) so we were wondering what is the best way to get to the games? We don't mind walking but it looked farther than we thought once we looked it up. So Dis'ers, whats the best way to get from my hotel for a Sunday afternoon ball game?

Uber or taxi is easiest. I thought i read somewhere that there is a free angels shuttle that leaves from the bus drop off at disneyland as well as near the convention center on game nights. Sorry don't have much information on it, hopefully someone else can chime in.

Thanks, just looked up the shuttle and it looks like its a free service to all home games from the DL bus area.
