Desert Inn & Suites

I have gotten to self park the 3 times we have stayed here. Just lucky I guess. Actually this luck is what make me prefer desert inn over Tropicana since I had to vallet there and it was a pain in the butt and someone used m car for an ashtray (yep there were ashes and butts on the outside of the trunk of my 2 month old car).

We usually get the parlor suite and bring up the food and eat it on the couch/TV area so the size of the breakfast room doesn't matter. If we didn't eat in the room we were taking breakfast to go to make it to rope drop.

We were able to self-park in the underground parking the times we stayed there. Maybe it depends on the time of year and capacity. If you arrive later in the day when they are full there is likely no parking so you have to valet, since they are going to double park your car. In the end it doesn't really matter, as I don't plan to move my car until I leave but I also like to be able to go back to the car if I forget something without needing to ask someone else for my keys.

We were able to self park in February 2015. I think we only had to park underground once. We found a spot on the top every other time.
