I have a wide varity of music on my Itouch. Its mainly rock, modern rock, alternative and general rock. But I have some country on there, and a bunch of soundtracks. Not really any rap but I have about 6 gigs of music as of right now.

Anything I can dance to.
...Except for hardcore metal.

My music tastes are kinda complicated, I like things like Jonas Brothers, Demi Lovato and Miley Cyrus. I also like The Academy Is...and a little Metro Station (spefically Seventeen Forever) along with Paramore. I also like some country like Taylor Swift and some assorted songs by other artists. I also like Elvis Presley. And, I LOVE Disney Soundtracks. Like The Lion King and The Little Mermaid and The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

I was basically raised on rock n' roll. I remember my dad playing Nirvana, Queen, and Led Zeppelin when I was a toddler. It's only natural that I gravitate towards them now.

As you all know :cutie:, I love Elton John. He's a bit more "poppy" than some of my other tastes. I like him because of the quality of his songs and the mixture of pop and rock. I also like some Carpenters songs, because they are so sweet and fluffy. I adore Carole King for her wondeful voice and Kiki Dee for the same reason.

I just discovered the Runaways and Joan Jett and I love them!
I'm also a musical FANATIC. My two dream roles on Broadway would be Maganta from The Rocky Horror Picture Show and Christine from The Phantom of the Opera.

Right now, I'm on a bit of a classical high!. I'm deeply in love with Frederic Chopin and I have a bit of a crush on Mozart. I can listen to Chopin for hours (Ballade No. 1, Etude No. 12, Waltz No. 19, the list goes on!) and Mozart is just sublime (Symphony No. 25, Requiem Lacrimosa and Confutatis)!

As for modern stuff, I hate most of it. Everything sounds the same, nothing sounds real, and most of the songwriting is terrible. Still, I love Katy Perry, The Like, and Regina Spektor.

That's my music taste (hope it's not too long)!

My music is bi-polar. I could be listening to Disney music one minute then it would switch over to Breaking Benjamin the next.

I like stuff in the more screamo/metal category, especially Christian bands.

I can basically catergorise what music I listen to into 2 sections.
There's what iTunes call the 'Alternative Pop-Punk Rock" like Cobra Starship, The Academy Is..., We The Kings, All Time Low, 3OH!3, The Maine, The Cab, etc.
Then there's the The Script, Katy Perry, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, Taylor Swift, Scouting For Girls, Maroon 5, etc. section.
They're what I mainly listen to... but I also love Disney music, some soundtracks like Back To The Future and the odd song from other types of music.

Also, I think it's funny how people say that they listen to music that they grew up hearing. For me that's totally different, although I do like some of what I grew up listening to.

I really listen to everything.

Some of my favorites of each category right now:

Classical/Instrumental/Soundtrack Music: (Debussy, La Traviata, Pride and Prejudice Soundtrack, Titanic Soundtrack, Pirates Soundtrack, Harry Potter Soundtrack, Enchanted Soundtrack.)

Rap/R&B: (In My Head-Jason Derulo, Replay-Iyaz, Airplanes-BOB ft Hayley Williams, Let It Rock- Kevin Rudolf, anything by Eminem.)

Pop: (Anything by Michael Jackson, Break Your Heart-Taio Cruz ft. Ludacris, Hey Soul Sister-Train, Breakeven- The Script, California Girls-Katy Perry)

Rock: (Anything by Elvis, anything by Journey, anything by Aerosmith, Savin' Me- Nickleback.)

Adult Contemporary/Jazz: (Michael Buble, Josh Groban, John Mayer.)

Country: (My Little Girl-Tim Mcgraw, I'm Already There-Lonestar.)

I have so many favorite songs that I could listen to over and over. Mostly I prefer to listen older music because it's more real and powerful. The newer songs today are just mediocre voices, catchy beats, and lots of digital effects.

I prefer Elvis, bands of the 80s, and Michael Jackson to most everything on the radio today, but I actually like everything.

I love classic rock/folk/pop music.

The Beach Boys
The Beatles
Billy Joel
Bob Dylan
Bruce Springsteen
Cream
David Bowie
Donovan
The Doors
Eric Clapton
George Harrison
John Lennon
The Kinks
Led Zeppelin
The Lovin' Spoonful
The Monkees
Paul McCartney
Paul Simon
Pete Townshend
Pink Floyd
The Police
Queen
The Rolling Stones
Simon and Garfunkel
The Who
Wings

Pretty much anything from the 1960s to the 1980s. :]

Thanks to a friend of mine who thought that I knew nothing about music, much of my iPod includes this kind of music. I basically listen to this stuff and the soundtracks of musicals. Pretty much all I listen to is one of those two things
