Descendants Character Meet

Is there a meet and greet for the Disney Descendants characters? Mal, Evie, etc? I have a seven year old traveling with me that has already started talking about meeting them.

It's the newest Disney Channel Original Movie...it's about the children (the "Descendants") of Maleficent, The Evil Queen, Jafar & Cruella attending a boarding school with the children of Belle, Beast, Cinderella, Prince Charming, Aurora, Prince Phillip etc...

I haven't heard of them doing any meet & greets or appearances though...

Disney Channel really doesn't have a presence in the park, save for a few of the Disney Jr. shows. None of the Descendants characters are in the park, and most likely never will be. Their face characters, which makes them hard to cast in the first place, and honestly not very popular with anyone over the age of 10.

It would be AWESOME if they did! My 12year old niece loves them and would be thrilled to meet them on our Dec trip. They really should work them into the park maybe at DHS at the stage concerts

I agree it would be awesome (and have to disagree that no one over the age of 10 would be interested). I think a stage concert is a great idea - some of those songs are really catchy!

Huh? I'd say 10-12 is right in the sweet spot for these characters from what I've seen at my daughter's school.

but yeah, face characters who are ACTUAL people, very difficult to cast......though I did like meeting "Prince Caspian", he was well enough a lookalike.....

Disney hasn't done anything much really with Disney Channel shows since the days of the Disney Channel Rocks! and High School Musical street shows at DHS and the Disney Channel Games in 2007,2008.

They had the Teen Beach Movie parties at Typhoon Lagoon and the DC Dance Party/DCStars' appearances at the last 24 hour day at MK,but that's about been it recently.

There isn't even merchandise available. I searched all over the place for something Descendants themed to bring home to my DD7 from my solo trip last month, because she and all her little friends are absolutely nuts for the movie for some reason (seriously - we have 5 girls in her class and 3 of them have told me they're dressing up as Mal for Halloween!). I struck out, and in most shops the cast members I asked hadn't even heard of it.

If you are going to the Halloween party, then you will see a TON of kids dressed up as Descendants characters (from really little to older teens). I don't even recall seeing any merchandise last week, but if we did, it was the exact same stuff that they have at the Disney Store at home, or DD would have gone nuts over it.

I'm 40+, and I really liked the movie and those characters.

My daughter and her friends love Decendents. It is definitely "a thing" with the 8-12 set. DD would love if there was a Decendents Dance Party.

I didn't see any descendants meet and greet. was difficult to find their merchandise too.

My dd is turning 13. She is crazy for Descendants, went as Mal on Halloween and is counting down the days till Descendants 2.

While slightly different, I remember threads from several years ago from folks looking for "Enchanted" character sightings and merchandise and finding pretty much nothing - and that movie was quite popular with all ages. Along the same vein for kids, at least "High School Musical" had a show over at DHS for a bit. Not sure that "Teen Beach Movie" had much other than some party thing at Typhoon Lagoon around that time for a short while. Unfortunately, a "Descendants" show over at DHS has been "Frozen" out at the moment.

I can search on these boards for "Teen Beach Movie" in the title and find posts so similar to ones looking for "Descendants" that it's eerie - just substitute the word "Descendants" for "Teen Beach Movie" and the posts would be virtually identical.
