Does anyone else get slightly depressed at this time of year, or is it just me?

i'm not in the xmas spirit at all. but i'm not depressed.:confused3

I do sometimes. It depends on what's going on.
This year, there have been a lot of changes. Like we usually celebrate with my brothers on Christmas Eve, then all go to church. But my mom is working on Christmas Eve, so we are only going to church. So I'm a little sad that it won't be like past Christmases.

I get really sad if I don't see family around this time..

like on Christmas eve.. everyone goes to my Grandparent's house.. but my Aunt and Uncle are not coming this year.. I always get sad.

Well, I'm not depressed... but I'm definitely not as excited about Christmas as I usually am...

Maybe it's because my grandmother and I won't be seeing any family like we usually do, but eh, I dunno.

Not sad... it's just different and not as exciting.

Plus, I've already gotten most of what I wanted for Christmas, haha.

This month is always so difficult to be happy. Finals hurt your grades, you dissapoint your family, and you just never feel right. I hate growing up, I never used to feel like this when I was younger.

::yes::
I don't think many are. I feel that the poor economy has put us into this damper, no one has the money anymore to "go all out" and get the "normal" Christmas spirit.

I kinda am
I dont feel like tommorrow is Christmas eve
I'm fusterated since were still in Washington when we should be in Oregon because of the snow
I dont really care about presents
I feel locked in my home since we cant go anywhere
I just am not enjoying everything I normally do...

I usually get depressed after Christmas, or once everyone leaves Christmas day.

But yeah, I just randomly get depressed for no reason, so whatever I guess.

It's kinda sad this year. It just hasn't been the best.
Family issues, there have been some sad losses in the community and the economy is kinda putting everyone down.
A lot of people don't seem to be very happy and it makes me not as excited about Christmas.

I'm not depressed, I'm just not as into it as I was in years past.

I've never been depressed around Christmas, or really ever for that matter. :confused3

I usually am kinda sad this time of year, but not this year. Everything has been going great in my life and I'm definitely in the christmas spirit.

Yes.

But I always am. Every year. But on Christmas Day, I feel so..holly, and happy. And I get depressed after, because that is the one day of the year when nobody in my family is ever upset, sad, or mad. I just wish it could be like that forever.

I'm not depressed, I'm just not really in the Christmas spirit.

I have/had (it's complicated :P) who gets depressed every winter, particularly around christmas.

There is an actual term for it, but it is something to do with seasonal depression.

He went to the doctors about it, and they gave him anti-depressants, but they don't really seem to do anything.

Unfortunately, some people do get seasonal depression..

Hope you guys who have it, feel chipper tomorrow.

that's me too. i love christmas eve because i go to my grandma's house and we're all just riddiculously happy and excited to be together and it's just like everyone is so glad to be there. but then on christmas i go to my mom's side, which is not nearly as exciting or happy. they're all very sullen and quiet and you just don't get the christmas spirit at all. so i get a little depressed on christmas day.

then after christmas is all over i tend to go back to my usual state of sadness...

It's just a normal Christmas for me. I guess... haha.

I'm not. I used to, though. This is the first time I've had spirit in about 3 years. School eats away at me. Yes, the economy gets me into a tizzy sometimes, but I still was able to buy stuff for my friends and family. It's not the lavishness, persay, but it makes me happy to know that I put a smile on everyone's faces.
