Depressed for Living with the Land

I read it on here, but didn't see it anywhere else, so I thought it was just a rumor, but when my allears newletter arrived, it was reinforced. Living with the Land will be closed during our upcoming trip. I am very sad! I like that ride a lot!

I understand, I am to! And I haven't even told the kids yet. I am a little annoyed because this was rumored but not officially admitted until the day or so before it was closed. If this was announced ahead like the other ride closures we could have planned differently by a day or two. it is very aggravating.

I was sad also to see it closed when were there the other day. I observed they are still doing the "Behind the Seeds" tour though!

I was so scared at first when I started reading this. I assume you mean it will be down for refurb, not closed down forever? This is one of my mom's favorites. Do you have the dates it will be closed?

Can you say when its closing? We will be in EPCOT on Labor Day and the Land is including in my touring plan. TIA

Its already closed for rehab and the re-open date is (reportedly) Sept. 25, 2006.

NOTE: Its not the LAND PAVILION that is closed... its just "Living with the Land" attraction INSIDE the pavilion.

I realize were going in off season but i still expected to see the castle with all the trimmings for the celebration, no it's coming down the day we get there, and now our favorite ride- Living with the Land is closed down, what else can they take down/shut down in the next 18 days?!

I was so bummed about this. I know it is not a major ride but I love it anyway. I have fond memories of it from when I took my mom to WDW last year for the first time. It was her favorite ride in Epcot. She begged me to go back on it with her (although she didn't really have to pull my arm too much )

That is great news about the Seeds tour! that is what my DD has been talking about doing since we started to plan and I was dreading telling her. Yea! she is at a bad age not quite 16 for the other tours and too old to be excited about the one at MK. As I stated my biggest complaint was why wasn't it listed sooner like other rehabs.

The Behind the Seeds tour was great! Definitely a good substitute while the ride is closed. If you have the extra hour do it. I highly recommend it!

I'm dissapointed too! DD wanted to see the Mickey pumpkins. Oh weel the nwe have another reason to come back next year.
