I am happy to hear that if it's true. I was under the impression that with their new placeholder policy you receive the OBC and 10% discount (if non-concierge) when you select and book an actual cruise date (off the ship), but that since no specific cruise was booked while aboard, the deposit due would be 20%. If it is still 10% deposit (for 7 nights or longer), I'm doing the happy dance!

Did you get the OBB discount? An OBB should only have a 10% deposit required on a 7-night cruise. I'd be concerned they lost the OBB if they didn't charge the right deposit. That said, a reduced deposit is just less now more due later, so paying a higher deposit wouldn't be a huge concern for me as long as the rest of the OBB perks are still attached (discount and OBC).
