Deposit Policy on 4/3 Packages

I know we used to have a 14 day window from making the reservation to actually paying the deposit. I seem to remember reading that the window is now only 7 days. Is that correct?

Also, can someone give me the quick details of what I need to remember if I should have to cancel my package.

Starting in 2009 you have to pay the deposit within 7 days of making it. If you want to cancel the reservation, if you cancel it more that 45 days before your arrival date, you will get all your money back. Once you are within the 45 day period there is a cancelation fee. If you purcahse trip insurance from disney and cancel the reservation, I believe that you do not get that money back no matter when you cancel the reservation.
