I would like to take my kids and grandkids to WDW next year at the Pop Century. I would have 1 adult and 5 or 6 kids. If I reserve 2 rooms do I have to pay a deposit on each room or is it per reservation?

Not sure how taking kids and grandkids equals one adult and five or six kids (if you mean kids under 18) unless you are taking children of yours who are not the parents of the grandkids.

If you have more than one person who is 18 or older you would probably need to register an adult in each room, but at any rate you will pay a deposit on two rooms. The rooms might have separate reservation numbers, or they might not. If you have one adult and six minor children that might all be under one reservation number. If you have more than one adult then it might be different reservation numbers.

If both rooms are under your name you pay a deposit for one room.

I've got more then one room booked for september and only had to make the deposit for 1 room. Also there is only ressie #.

That is wierd. They have always made me put the deposit down for each room.

I think it's gonna depend on if it's one adult and a bunch of minors or not as to whether they get separate reservation numbers for each room. Most groups I've seen had to register an adult in each room and got a separate reservatin number for each room.

For Walt Disney Travel Co. this is how it's done. For 2 rooms you have to pay 1 nights deposit for each room on a room only reservation. That would mean double the deposit. For a package (room and tickets) with 2 rooms the deposit is $400. Also, double the regular package rate deposit. It doesn't matter who is staying in what room or the ratio of children to adults. I have booked 2 rooms many times and the deposit is always the above.

Also, I also have never had separate reservation numbers. It is all booked under one reservation. I currently have a reservation for 6 people in two value rooms. One deposit $400, one reservation #.

Ours was just one deposit and one ressie.

We have two ASMo rooms. I'm registered with a couple of kids in one room and my DH is registered with three kids in the other.

They gave us one ressie # and we only paid $200 deposit (one deposit).

This is just another case of CMs doing it differently or giving out wrong information.

If it was a room only, I don't know. Ours was a package.

The reservation will be for me (grandma/mom),ds 16,ds 12,dgd 14,dgs 7,and possibly dgs 8. There will only be ONE adult, but I need 2 rooms. It sounds like it depends on who takes the call. It will probably be a room only reservation.

Ohh how I would love to have 1 ressie #!!! It is such a pain to keep up with two, and depending on the CM, some of them can find the other ressie, and some can't. (I have the one ressie # memorized, as it is "mine" and when I call, sometimes I am asking about the other ressie, and I don't know it, so depending on the CM, they give me a hard time about it.)

Anyway, to answer your question. I have 2 rooms, 2 ressie #'s, 2 deposits!

Good luck with THAT group!!!

Oh, and to answer your question, this is the third time we've booked 2 rooms, and each time it was two ressie numbers and two deposits. Room-only was one night's lodging per room, and package was $200 per room.

I don't know why none of you were allow to book more then one room into one resssie and make one deposit. It seems to me that it who you talk to when booking. I have always gone through Dreams Umlimited the travel agency on this web site and have never had any problems.

I booked room only ressie's at sugarloaf under my name, rebooked 2 months later with the 20-30-40 pin and 40% was taken off both my rooms. We have AP and was waiting for AP rates when the pin came out.

I could have booked a package and gone with FD but chose the 40% off. With the package there were lots of extras we did not want plus you had to purchase 1-2 (not sure of the number) base park tickets. There still could be a package for FD being offered to AP holders. I think I'll keep the 40% off even though the FD would be a better deal. 3 TS meals with little ones is just too much. Plus the traveling to each park can take up to an hour. I would rather take the savings and purchase my own meals. We do have a ToW card and get 20% off our meals.

Yes, it is only one deposit of $200. A CM that may not be aware, may try to get the $400 deposit but just ask the CM to check with a supervisor. We have 4 children and always need 2 rooms. (Once when DH wasn't going, the second room had to "up" my son to an adult in order to book the 2 rooms.) We have one reservation number for two rooms, and I need to pay only one $200 deposit.

I have done this countless times.

Have a great trip!
