We have reservations at Cinderella's Castle and I have already put down the required deposit ($45). BUT, we are going to use meal vouchers to pay for our breakfast. My question is, Will I get this deposit back and do I need to do or say anything in order to make sure I get this $45 back?

Thanks! :sunny:

I could be wrong, but I think they only take your credit card info to change the $10.00 fee for no shows. Your card isn't actually charged unless you don't show up. I asked specifically when making one whether I would have the option of paying the cost in cash when we actually had our meal. I advised that I would, so I think it would be the same with your dining plan.

Your credit card is charged immediately, $10 per adult and $5 per child. If you show for your breakfast, the deposit is taken off the bill, you have 24 hours before your reservation to cancel, if not the money is Disney's!!! (Pretty sure it's 24 hours.)

Sorry, didn't see you were on the dining plan!!! I don't know how you would get your money back, that's worth a call to Disney Dining!!

We are on the dining plan and I was told they won't charge anything unless you don't show up. It's basically to make sure people aren't no-shows for more popular meals. No one told me anything about taking any money off now. I need to check on that. She told me that she was noting that I was using the dining plan, but to make sure to tell them first thing so they don't charge my card. I would think if you are using vouchers that you just need to tell them upfront. She assured me that my card would never be charged anything as long I show up and tell them, so if they did take anything off now, I would expect them to take it back off.

We used meal vouchers on our last Christmas trip for Cindy's. I told the CM when I made the PS months in advance and our CC WAS still charged the full deposit immediately. When we arrived for breakfast, we turned in our vouchers and then gave the server the card that had the initial deposit on it. We then received an invoice type of receipt that showed a full refund. It took about 4 days to actually show up on our CC, but we were fully refunded. Hope this helps.

Great! That's what I wanted to hear. The $45 has already been charged (and paid), so I just wanted to be sure to get it back!

Thanks again!!! :sunny:

This must be one of those things that isn't consistent. I made ressies for June on 03/14 (Fantasmic Dinner Package) and again last Saturday (Princess Storybook Lunch) I used my Visa debit card and neither of those has been charged to my account. Both times I was told no charge unless you don't show up or don't cancel in time.

This happened to me--was charged $30 for Cindy's. As soon as I got my bill, I called dining and asked what to do, and they credited my account when I told them I was on the dining plan. They were very nice! Still kept my credit card number to hold the seats just in case we don't show. ::MickeyMo

CRT charges your card immediately. PSB, and FDP, only take the info, and charge for no-shows. I know because I have PS for all three at the end of this month.

Narcoosees, and the kids clubs also take CC info, but don't charge, as well as wishes, and illuminations cruises. I'm sure their are others.

I am on the dining plan, and was told that I would get a credit, when we settle the bill, at CRT.

Hope that helps. :sunny:

Oh thanks for clearing that up. Good to know I won't be surprised by any charges!

Our CC was never charged the CRT deposit back in December. :confused3 I've seen other threads on this subject that seem to have a wide variety of experiences from posters ... I wonder why this isn't consistent?
