Department 56 Villages

We have quite a collection of Christmas In The City and the Halloween pieces. Would it be bad to store them in an attic? Right now we have about 20 boxes in a closet in our 2nd bedroom because we were afraid the extreme changes in temps would break or ruin them at all. I just am in need space in the closet!

I have the Dickens Village as well...also stored in my attic for the last 15 years! (just because I don't have room anywhere else) I haven't had any problems (in NJ)

not sure which village I have, I think it is more like an assortment of collections, including the Disney MGM water Tower. They are all in my attic her in Florida.

I keep them in the large Rubbermaid bins in their boxes and all the accessories.

I have a mixture of Snow Village and Christmas in the City. They have been stored there since we bought our house in 1999. I am in Mont. County so I have the same climate as you.

i live in s. Louisiana and all of mine are in the attic and have been for years. So far so good, my only issue has been DH dropping one or two of them ; )

I collect Snow Village and North Pole village. I finally have stopped buying them, people give them to me for gifts and I have so many Im thinking of selling a few. My Mom does Dickens and has so many that she has sold quite a bit of the collection off because it was taking up to much room, the attic was filled and she had to start putting it in closets. She leaves the churches out all the time, she has several different ones from different collections.

I collect the Original Snow Village and they are in the garage attic. Haven't had any problems yet & I hope I don't because I have absolutely no where else to put them!

I have the Disney village, the Snow Village and Seasons Bay. I store them in an unheated attic area and they have been fine for years. I store them in their original packaging. Debby

The extreme heat is not good for them. I would not store mine in the attic.

Mine are in the attic too~18 years and no problems
