I recently posted about a "lost in space" $134 dollar round-trip Easter week fare that was on Orbitz one day and disappeared before I could make a decision. I kept looking every day and still got lowest fares in the $450 - $600 range. Then I thought to use the "check airports within 100 miles" option and got my $134 dollar fare, but to Tampa. I grabbed it up before they had a chance to change their minds, and felt like I had won the lottery.
I have tried Travelocity and Expedia and Cheaptickets a number of times and have never been successful in getting a decent fare. In fact, the fares I pull off the airline sites are usually lower than the lowest fare I get from these discount sites. In any case, I am very impressed with Orbitz. If anyone is going from Denver to Orlando, they might want to check it out.
