You can definately plan this in 8 months! Of course, I started at 26 months, lol.... but if I had a shorter timeline, my mind wouldn't be changing every 2 months Will you be attending a planning session? That will help bring everything together!! I hope you get Italy for your DP... it's soooo beautiful!!

Jumping in! 8 months is PLENTY of time, I think. I'm at 7 months, and I haven't really done THAT much yet. Well, I made my own centerpieces, but that was kind of out of a desire to DO something instead of twiddling my thumbs! Most of the planning happens during the PS anyway. And definitely good luck on getting Italy--- I LOVE Italy! Fingers crossed

Congrats on booking your wedding! I am one of those girls who always wanted a long engagement. I wanted just about a year to plan. But I also wanted a spring wedding. But when it took DF 4 1/2 years to propose (too long for me!) and he proposed in Dec, I knew I didn't want to wait 16 months! So we booked it for our 5 year anniversary...only 5 and a half months out! And I honestly don't know how I would have handled a longer engagement! Disney is so well planned out that to me, it was easy to plan this wedding! You can totally do it!
