I have to tell you I'm jealous that you and your dh get to walk together. It sounds so nice. My dh is almost a foot taller than me so needless to say we walk at different paces :rolleyes: . Hope you have a great week and SCALE cooperates for you :D .

Hello, everyone! I can't believe I've been too busy to hop on here. This next week is going to be another very busy one w/ grad school, work school and grading (grades are due on Fri.), and I even have my mentor class on Monday. :rolleyes: However, after that I should have a pretty easy week! I'm looking forward to that. Sharon, Judy, Marcia, Dax, Doreen, Holly, and Val--thank you all so much for stopping by my journal; I will get caught up on everyone's as soon as I get a chance. I think most of your questions and concerns will be answered as I type. :)

DH and I haven't had any time to walk, but I have still been trying to get workouts in. Wednesday I ran 3 miles in 25min. and walked a 5min. cool down at 4.3mph, Thursday I rode the bike for an hour, and Friday I didn't do anything (well, I did a ton; I just didn't workout!). It has really cooled down and has been rainy and windy the last few days so I guess we couldn't have gone walking anyway. :crazy: Hopefully after the next busy week, the weather will cooperate and we will be able to walk again.

I did poorly in the eating department Wednesday afternoon and had some cookies. :rolleyes: I did well Thursday and on Friday I started the day w/ a staff buffet breakfast and didn't do too badly! I started w/ a small plate of fruit so I wouldn't go crazy on the other side where all the bad stuff was. Then I had a ham omlette and I just drank water. I did well for the rest of the day having my usual for lunch and an afternoon snack and just a bowl of Corn Flakes w/ skim milk for dinner b/c we got home really late from grocery shopping. Hopefully I can get into my usual routine of daily posts again--time providing, of course and I will eventually get caught up on all of your journals.

I did have a successful weigh in this morning (not great, just successful). I'm down 1.4 from last week which puts me at 139.0. I'm pleased with this, but I did gain .8 last week so I am only down .6 from the week before. Did you follow that? :crazy: My weigh in did put me in a very motivated mood though and I am determined to have another successful week!

DH and I did get out all the summer clothes today and packed away all our heavy sweaters and wool pants. I am happy to report that everything fits, including two size 6 skirts I totally forgot bought right before school started and only wore once! My small shorts fit and I even got rid of some stuff that is just too big. Onward and downward I go! I know this is going to be so much easier once school is out, but I'm determined to do as much as I can until then. Then I have to worry about saying down once school starts again!

K, I think this is getting pretty long--everyone have a wonderful weekend and know I'm thinking of you even if I'm not around! :sunny:

Sharon~Thank you so very much! DH wanted to post a picture of us in DW and I wasn't sure if I wanted to do so. Just for the record :p , my hair is in a pony tail and all tied up; I thought it looked like it was really short, not that there's anything wrong w/ that, but my hair is actually pretty long. DH is sitting next to me on the other computer and he is laughing at your post! He said DH is just laughing, not saying anything. :p He's funny! ::yes::

Yesterday was a good day; we got a lot done and even took some time to relax.

Saturday:

B: Coco Wheats, 1 slice light ww toast, banana

W: 3 mile run and 5 min. cool down, 20 min. bike, abs

L: salad w/ ff french and 1 slice ff cheese, baby carrots

S: animal crackers

D: Shrimp linguinni and 1 slice of light ww bread w/ spray butter and garlic powder

S: Peach cobbler and ff/sf vanilla ice cream

The day looks pretty good; I was hungry early since I only had salad for lunch, but my snack held me over and we had dinner a little early. My evening snack may have been a bit much, but I only had a small portion and think that I probably didn't eat enough earlier in the day anyway. I'm not sure how today is going to play out; we still have a lot to do. We've already gotten some grad school done this morning and this is my first official break! It looks really nice outside, but I'm not sure if we'll get a chance to go walk. I just keep telling myself this week is going to be my last super busy week for a while and I will be in DW in just 3 weeks! :hyper:

Denise, you had a great weigh-in and are wearing 6s!!!!! WOW! :bounce: :bounce: Look at you go, girl!! All that hard work is really paying off for you! I'm glad you tossed some of those bigger clothes - you won't be needing them anymore!

The picture of you and DH is wonderful. You make a great couple! It's so nice to put a face with your name!

Val, Doreen, and Sharon! Thank you so much for your support. I would like to get to the point where there is no question of me being a 6 and I can get rid of my 8 (though that would mean major shopping trips--I just use belts right now :p ). I still don't feel 100% comfortable in my 6s. Sharon--don't worry DH totally knows you're kidding--he can take it--he just laughs at us. ;) I last posted Saturday, so I'll just say that Sunday went really well. And, here's Monday:

I had my 3 hour mentor class last night and that is why I split dinner or had two or whatever you want to call it! When I got home I did som grad work for a couple hours and went to bed. My last hectic week for a while is well on its way. My last big deadline (for a while) in grad school is tonight and then I just have a ton of grading hanging over me for the rest of the week--I better get my butt in gear. I took yesterday off from working out since I had my class and a bunch of work to do. On Sunday, DH and I tried to go for one of our walks, but only made it about 1/2 way b/c the wind was blowing so hard it was difficult to walk at times and it was hurting his ears. So, we walked for about 40min. and I rode the bike for an hour later that night. Have a great day everyone! Denise, I'm glad I got a chance to pop over to your journal. I love the picture! So nice to see a fellow Hoosier! And congrats on fitting into those 6s! I know what you mean about the shopping thing though. I'm not sure I'm looking forward to having to replace clothes. But not so unsure that I'm not going to do it :)

I am so excited!!!!! Thanks to the new AP rates; DH and I extended our summer trip--from 7 nights to 12 nights!! Oh My Gosh!!!! I am spending 12 nights with Mickey! :jumping1: I can't get over it. I get to get my feet wet in 2.5 weeks for 6 nights and double that this summer! :bounce: I do have to focus on the matter at hand though, now I have 5 fewer days to lose some weight before the summer trip. We were planning dinners last night and it is going to be very difficult to maintain while I'm there for that long. I do pack my weights and a fitness band and do push ups and sit ups before I shower in the morning, but man we're going to eat a lot of good food. DH said he'd get me the pedometer I was looking at so I can keep track of how much walking I do; we don't walk anywhere slowly, even in the parks. Sometimes we try to slow ourselves down so we can just take in the scenery, but we're always on the move. Yay, another 4th of July in the World!!!! The fireworks are great that day! K, I'll try to calm my self down and actually post my day so I can get back to my work.

Tuesday:

B: plain oatmeal (100), chocolate soymilk (90), 1 slice light ww toast (35)

L: salad w/ ff ranch (110), 4oz. ff yogurt (60), plum (?), baby carrots (35)

S: 3/4oz special K (70), rf wheat thins (100)

D: WW spaghetti (no sauce) (280), light minute maid (5)

I did not workout again! That is so unlike me; I've just been so run down all week and have been fighting off a sore throat. After doing some grad school, DH and I concentrated on Disney! Then, made ourselves go to bed at 10. I'm going to have a hard time focusing, but I have a ton of grading to do; I'm so tired today. At least, I have built-in workouts starting next week w/ track practice starting. Of course, it's hard to get a truly good workout in when you have 130 kids to look after. I'm lucky I have the long distance runners and I get to run w/ them; the sprinting coach is the one w/ the huge numbers to deal with. Well, sorry I wrote so much; I'm just so excited (in case I didn't mention that before). :p ;) Have a wonderful day, everyone! :sunny:

I am SOOOOO jealous Denise!!!! Happy for you, but still jealous!!!!;) I would LOVE to spend that much time in the world!!! At least with the extra days, you could slow down a bit and get some extra workouts in - laps in the pool maybe?!:smooth: Oh, how wonderful it all sounds!:lovestruc

And don't worry about not getting the exercise in this week. With everything else you've got going on, the one week with less exercise won't be too bad. Just take good care of yourself so that you can enjoy the track team workouts next week!::yes::

hi denise!!!! i'm baaaaaaack (well, kinda, for today anyways :p ). i can't believe how much i've missed over the past few days!! oh my goodness, lots of catching up to do. but i've done it, and oooooh, so many exciting things!!! :bounce:

first off, yay for a succesful weigh in! don't give me this "i only lost .6 over the past 2 weeks" thing :p. cause you definitely did 1.4 just this past week! and that is such a great number for a week! and we're getting close to weigh in again i know, i'm sure it'll be down even more ::yes:: . and fitting into the size 6s!!! weeee! that is so exciting, i can't wait to be there. ooh yes, very awesome. you'll be totally comfortable in them in no time ::yes::

and here's my major thing to react to....12 nights with mickey!!! :jumping1: i'm beyond thrilled for you :teeth: . wahoooooo! that trip is going to be so great. eh, so it makes you have 5 days less to hit your goal, well, i say it's a great trade off :p . and extra motivation ::yes:: . i wouldn't worry so much about your weight while you're there. no deprivation! vacation (especially disney) is a time to let yourself endulge, even if just a little bit. of course, no crazy overboard stuff, but really, you'll be getting in so much walking like you said (pedometer sounds like a great idea!), and you're all sorts of prepared with the weights, stretchie band, push ups, and sit ups ::yes:: .

hehe, and yeah, i see sharon mentioned you're bordering on breaking my record for long posts. here's what i have to say: phoooooey! hahah, i came right back atcha with this one! tee hee :p . i guess it has more to do with me being mia for a while though :hyper:

Okay--I'm Back!!!! I think I finally have time to breath, but I'm still looking forward to break. :) My parents were in town this weekend and we had a lot of fun. I spent all day Sat. at my nephew's wrestling meet and spent Sun. cleaning. It was a good weekend! I some how managed to maintain through another crazy week. I think I should just plan on maintaining through the end of the school year--that will be good practice for maintaining next school year after I lose this summer! ;) I don't know--we'll see--maybe I will lose some before then. I started track practice yesterday! It was fun! Of course, I managed to get sick just in time to start the season. :rolleyes: After going over rules and checking grades and physicals, we only had time to do plyometrics and run a little over a mile. I have a great group (I just have the distance runners at practice). I had most of them in cross country, so we're going to have a lot of fun. I think we're going to be inside today due to some cold weather and wet snow (I thought I was done with that crazy stuff for the season). We're supposed to be back in th 50s by the end of the week. :) Val, Sharon, and Marcia--thanks for checking in on me even though I was MIA! I appreciate it. I don't think I'm going to post daily menus anymore b/c I pretty much eat the same thing everyday. I will still post daily and put exercise and any food mistakes or victories and any weight victories as well. I will probably post food again this summer when it definitely changes. I'm going to WDW very, very soon!!!! :) I'll try to get caught up on journals later--I hope you are all doing well. :sunny:
