Democrats are Unfit for Command

And on your "preachers and pundits" list, since when is Chris Matthews a Republican?

ROTFLMAO at the OP and this lame thread.

Amen, I opened this reply to say what you did about Matthews. He is one of the most liberal talk show hosts on any of the big three cable networks. The OP was ridiculous, you can construe any list like this to bash the other side by picking and choosing whom to put on this list based upon who best suits your needs.

Please hurry November 2!!!

Good thing I voted today! No chance you'll change my mind, not that you'd be able to. :teeth:

Go Bush!

Go Red Sox!!!

Also, maybe the OP could have also asked how many Vietnam war veterans stated that it was "seared" into his memory that he was in Cambodia the night before Christmas, 1968, but actually was not?

How many current Presidential Candidates threw his own medals--oops! I mean, pretended to throw his own medals away?

How many current and past Presidential candidates has admitted he committed atrocities during his service?

How many Presidential candidates hold a place of honor in the War Remnants Museum (formerly the "War Crimes Museum") in Saigon?

Or, even, how many currect Democratic Candidates have to keep on reminding us that he served in Vietnam years and years and years ago but has done nothing of consequence in the last 20 years as a member of the Senate?

kendra your wrong, he lied to congress and said he only heard about the war atrocities from soldiers.

never mind the villagers that lived in the village he destroyed.
they must have made the story up about it.

It doesn't surprise me that the people who made sure they didn't have to serve in war (and I do include Bush in that category) are always the biggest proponents of sending other people's sons to fight. This was a war of choice. Sometimes the Republicans make it all sound like a kid's game - "Bring it On" and want to look so macho (not "girly-men") that they don't really realize the human toll this has.

Couldn't have said it any better. It is these chickens that are quick to send the average Americans' sons and daughters to the hell hole of war, while they coddle their own within our relatively bulletproof borders.

No wonder bush thinks he is the "second coming."

Oh good grief!!

I could care less if a President, or presidential candidate, served in the military. My husband didn't serve either, does that make him less of a man than one who did? NO!!

I will be so glad when this election is OVER!!!

Did you bash Bill Clinton for putting troops in harm's way when he did not serve in the military? Doubt it.

The bottom line is these are all volunteers who knew there were risks when they signed up. I supported Clinton's military actions and I support Bush's, just because they did not serve in the military does not mean they don't have the duty to protect America or American interests. If that was the case then you must say it was a mistake to elect Clinton as well as Bush.

LOL. . . pretty pathetic, huh, Gary?

But, for the record, in case someone doesn't get that you were talking with your tongue planted in your cheek. . .

( April 18, 1971):

SEN. KERRY: There are all kinds of atrocities, and I would have to say that, yes, yes, I committed the same kind of atrocities as thousands of other soldiers have committed in that I took part in shootings in free fire zones. I conducted harassment and interdiction fire. I used 50 calibre machine guns, which we were granted and ordered to use, which were our only weapon against people. I took part in search and destroy missions, in the burning of villages. All of this is contrary to the laws of warfare, all of this is contrary to the Geneva Conventions and all of this is ordered as a matter of written established policy by the government of the United States from the top down. And I believe that the men who designed these, the men who designed the free fire zone, the men who ordered us, the men who signed off the air raid strike areas, I think these men, by the letter of the law, the same letter of the law that tried Lieutenant Calley, are war criminals.
