I thought Demi was pregnant with Ashton's baby a year or so ago. What happened? She should of had the baby like a year ago. Was her pregnancy a hoax or did she have a misscarriage? :confused3

I think the tabloids were reporting she was preggers, but it wasn't true.

I just did a few searches. There were rumors flying around March of last year. I did see one person as quoted saying she saw Demi Moore just after she found out she was pregnant. But nothing official was ever announced. Then around July there were several reports of her miscarrying in the 5th month. Again, nothing official.

Their married right?

I wondered the same thing a few days ago when I saw a picture of them in a People magazine and it said something to the effect of Demi and her hubby... Wow Im out of touch with reality if I didnt even know they were married..

Demi is 44. Is it still realistically possible to get preggers at 44?

Yes, very much so. Women are having children later and later in life- many with out any fertility help at all. My SIL had her last child at 43 (14 years ago). Her oldest child at the time was 18. I know of others as well.

Yep, it sure is. My sister has this friend who helped her dad raise her five siblings after their mom left them. The mother is now remarried, pregnant with twins at the age of 50. Pathetic!!

Ah, let me rephrase my question is it possible to get preggers at 44, if you've never been preggers before? (That is not Demi's case as she has 2 or 3 daughters already.) But I am 44 & never had kids, no guy in sight yet. So I wonder. All the people who I've heard who got preggers late in life (without fertility help) always had other kids in the past - so their body already knew what to do. :rotfl:

It's possible. But the thing is that if you're over 35, the changes of having a down syndrome baby is higher. And the degree of the syndrome varies from light to severe.
RELATIONSHIP OF DOWN SYNDROME INCIDENCE TO MOTHERS' AGE

30 1 in 900

Not too long ago, I took care of a baby whose mother had gotten pregnant for the first time . . . at age 48, and without the use of any fertility treatments.

I know LOTS of women who have had babies over the age of 35 and they were all perfect babies. I know 3 people who had babies when they were under the age of 30 and they had babies with downs syndrome.

My doctor said that those numbers are largely inflated and that though the risk may be slightly higher that the likelihood a healthy baby will be born in much greater. Additionally, in other countries, they do not do special testing on older moms until they pass age 40.

Personally I would not have a baby at 44, but that is just me. Kudos to those who make that choice for their own lives.

Thanks for the info.

OP, I didn't mean to hijack your post. :)
Back to Ashton & Demi. :teeth:
