So Wife and I are about to embark on our first dining plan adventure with one child actually having to pay for the plan (my 4 year old).

here's my question.

Will they let me order two kids meals at a table service restaurant UNTIL they run out of credits, or do I have to pay for a meal for my 2 year old, and only use 1 credit for my 4 year old.

I have a feeling I'll end up with meals left over for my son otherwise.

thx!

If it's a buffet, you can get extra food on your plate then give it to your 2 year old or get your 2 year old his/her own plate since they eat free. If it's a meal that you are ordering off the menu, the kids could most likely split the one meal depending on their appetites. When our children were those ages, they never ate a meal by themselves so we would order one for our daughter and our son would just share hers, or pick here and there off my plate and my husband's plate.

Your KTTW card will show that there are 2A/1C on the dining plan so you would only be able to order 2 adult's and 1 child's meal. Your 2 year old can share off of your plates, split a meal with your older child, or you can pay OOP if you order a meal for the 2 year old.

Why would your 4 yr old end up with extra meals? Will he not be eating with you at every restaurant?

We just did this CS you can order two meals TS you cannot I would choose buffets for the TS or let your 2 year old eat what you have. You can also use snack credits at CS to help feed the 2 year old this is what we did.

At the regular TS (not buffet, family style) the adults will get appetizers, entrees and desserts. There should easily be enough food for your younger child to eat.

Just split up the food. The children can share or give the younger one the kid's meal and give the older one some of your food or the other way around. There are so many options with the DxDP.

I really don't think that they will each eat a child's TS kids meal. Dessert is the only part I can see a problem. You might have to order an extra ice cream sundae for one of the kids. They might let you just order a child's entree and two desserts instead of an appetizer.

Beleive me, there will be enough food to share with your 2yo. My 4 yo triplets ended up sharing most meals. I would get 2 meals for the 3 of them. Every meals comes with app, entree and dessert. it tends to be alot of food ofr them. At signature restaurants, app can go from a regular size soup to a bowl of fruits. I don't doubt for a second that between your 3 mela,s the 2 yo will have enough food and you will probably end up sending some back.

You will have plenty of food to share. We usually order one kids meal for our 4 yo and 2 yo when we go out as standard practice and at Disney there is usually even more food to go around. You should be just fine.
