Check to see if you can get a discount. With AAA the AKL is 174.00 and POR is 130 something. It really brings the two closer together.

Assuming $ is an issue, since if it wasn't there would be no question here, I'd say stay at POFQ. The moderates are just fine. Pocket the $800 cash and put it toward a vacation next year. $800 is a nice start. In fact, it is probably enough to pay your resort bill at a moderate next year for 6 days, depending when you go.

$800 more for how many nights? As a previous poster stated, I believe the difference in price between POFQ and AKL (standard view) is not THAT huge unless you stay onsite for a very long time.

If you get an AP, you can probably save even more.
