I have some questions about these rooms at WL.

1. How big are they?

2. What is the usual rate during value season?

3. Do AP rates or codes ever apply to these rooms?

4. Do the deluxe rooms connect to any regular rooms?

We're planning a trip for July 05 and DH and I were talking about where to stay. We were planning on the Polyesian but were talking about how we really liked the WL except the size of the rooms. We will have two kids with us under 3 and want some space, so I thought of the deluxe rooms at WL. My parents will be travelling with us, but they want their own bathroom. Any thoughts on these rooms? Anyone ever stay in one? Thanks in advance for any help!!!

Hi,
#1. Not sure about the sq, footage of the rooms (maybe 500+ sq. ft.) but I do have a room lay-out that may help.

#2. The rate during value season which is July 5th-Sept.29 Rack Rate $$390.00 this is from WaltDisneyWorld.com

#3. While I have recieved a discount on this room type before most have said they couldn't so I would imagine the availability of a discount would be very small if your thinking AP, but isn't AAA good for all room types. (this may help a little)

#4. Do the deluxe rooms connect to any regular rooms, the deluxe rooms I have stayed in didn't connet to any other room because of the design and location of the rooms. That being said I have not stayed in every Deluxe at the Lodge so...it could be possable. (But I don't think so)

Any thoughts on these rooms? Anyone ever stay in one, Yes I have stay many time in this room type and loved it, like you said it does give you so much extra room, we always requested the South Wing that would over look Bay Lake and loved being able to watch the EWP on the balcony...That was before I became a DVC Member after staying in one of the Villas I have a hard time staying in any regular room.

That may be a perfect solution for your family a 2-bedroom Villa with 1028 sq. ft. they will sleep up to eight + one child under the age of three, have two full baths, full kitchen, washer & dryer, Living room with pull-out sofa bed. During Value Season they run $535.00 a night... but the deluxe cost $ 390.00 + Standard Room $199.00=$589.00 and you can get AP discounts with this roon type (if avalable) or just for your family a 1 bedroom villa with 727 sq.ft. would be $380.00 that is even less than the deluxe and you would have a living room and full, kitchen, washer & dryer ect... this would sleep 4 plus one child under the age of three.

Now this shows the secound bed-room with the sofa the 2-bedroom also comes with two queen size beds in room. If you go to the Disney Web site that I have added to the link and under resorts choose Home away-from-home then The Villas @ Wilderness Lodge you can take a virtual tour of the rooms.

Sorry for such a long post. Hope you have a Magical Trip

Thanks so much for all the great info!!! I'm leaning towards a 2 bedroom villa. But I don't want to rent through DVC so I'll have to hope that there is a 2 bedroom villa SOMEWHERE at WDW for the dates we want (hopefully with and AP discount). Thanks again!!!!!!!!
