Deluxe room worth the extra $ ?

I currently have a reservation for 3 nights at the HRH for a garden room. Is it worth the extra $ to pay for a deluxe room? Do you get a better view? Where abouts in the hotel are the deluxe rooms?

We had a deluxe room and had an aweful view...but our room was HUGE!!! With 3 kids, this room was definitely worth it!

Just curious to know what the view was of and what room number it was. We have a deluxe for next month and I am wondering if there are "good" deluxe rooms and well..."not so good" deluxe rooms. Thanks!

Apparently, there are pool view and garden view rooms available for deluxe rooms! We requested a pool view but were given a garden view room which overlooked a roof and the front entrance! We had room 5041(on the dog floor)!

Some have garden views and some have pool views. Unfortunately those with garden views are usually entranceway/parking lot views. Ask for one on an upper floor with a pool view. I had a king suite (upgrade) a few months ago with a horrible front entranceway view and asked for a better view and was moved to a third floor suite with pool view. We couldnt see anything out of the window because of the palm trees but the suite was great.
