Hi Gang,

I've been spoiled by staying at the Deluxe Resorts almost everytime I go to Disney. I would like to try something new my next Trip, but those new rooms in the CR are so tempting!

I love being in a Monorail Resort, So between the Poly and GF which would you choose?

I think it might depend on what you are after. They are both on the monorail but the themes are so very different. The GF is much more "formal" and "elegant" whereas the Poly is much more "laid back" and "casual" ... in my opinion.

Both have similar amenities. We've eaten both "snack bar areas" and they are fine .. nothing spectacular, though. They both have sit down restaurants as well as "buffet" type of restaurants. I think the GF might have one additional, as I recall. They are both on the lagoon and both offer concierge. I've heard mixed reviews about concierge at GF depending on which one you get .. but have heard primarily nice one about Polynesian.

I know the Polynesian rooms are some of the largest on property, too. So, depending on your budget ... and your preferences ... either are nice resorts.

Nicely put. I agree, if your more into the "elegant" theme, you should go to GF. I prefer Poly because its more laid back, and the rooms are big! Either way, you can't go wrong being on the monorail!

Thanks for the Replies!

I walked into the GF the other night for the first time, and your right in saying that it is so elegant.

Pending what the Budget is come 6 months from now, I'll debate which one to try.

Thanks Again.
