Please pardon the rambling in this post...but here goes LOL....We go to WDW every Sept and DH is getting that syndrome that our DH's get where they feel they need an "off" year (which I just do not understand becasuse each year we take a non-disney vacation in addition to our WDW vacation) so after researching DL and Disney Tokyo to see if I could give him some variety and still have my Disney magic, I decided that there is really only one place that holds the magic for me and that is WDW. But after the hurricanes this Sept and all the re-arranging I decided we would try MVMCP and WDW at xmas for a totally different experience. (first week of dec before the crowds hit)....so finally here is my question ...it seems to me that the majority of DIS members feel that the WL holds the most xmas magic. However, we just stayed there this Sept and we like to try a diff resort each time. I was thinking of the Yacth or Beach Club because of SAB, but I am not convinced they will have a very christmasey feel????????????????????? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

The Yacht & Beach Club has beautiful gingerbread displays set up at Christmas time. They are really something to see. And it's worth the walk over to the Boardwalk to see the gingerbread display over there as well. I actually perferred the Christmas decorations at the Beach Club to the ones at the Wilderness Lodge (although it is worth stopping there to check out the tree.

I am going to AKL this December - I think it will be gorgeous (plus I just LOVE AKL!)
I have heard many times that the GF is stunning during the holidays.
BWI is also very nice and a nice walk to mGM and World Showcase - love the decor at this resort!

I stayed at the WL over Thanksgiving with all the decorations up and Christmas music-awesome!!!! I can't even imagine staying there in the summer! The only other resort I would like to try during the hoildays would be the GF. The BWI would be my next choice. The CR is OUT for me, unless a huge wreath on a bright pink wall is your idea of Christmas.

My vote:
1. WL
2. GF
3. BWI

We have stayed at BWI, YC, and POLY, when there have been Christmas decorations. Out of the three we liked the BWI decorations the best. We will be at WL this year for Christmas, and can't wait!!!

We go most Decembers, and while all the resorts are stunning in their own way, I also cast a vote for AKL. Itss a completely unique experience, and while it has all the Disney quality and atmosphere, you do not feel like you are in WDW--or Florida--for that matter. The holiday decorations are beautiful, food is some of the best, and the Savannah views and all the animals are endlessly entertaining. A great way to have what you want while being sensitive to your husband's unreasonable attitude. ;) LOL
All my personal opinion of course.

For your next trip you should think about a Disney Cruise.

We stayed at the YC one xmas and it was beautiful. Unfortunatley it was too cold to swim but we did enjoy sitting on the balcony and watching illuminations.

I have heard that the GF is the best of the best...our family will be staying there the second week of December, two bdrm suite, concierge!

Supposedly the Xmas decorations are amazing...we have never been...last trip to WDW was 1995!

Now that there are 4 grandkids in our family who have never been to Disney, we figured out first xmas trip should be one to remember!

Thanks to all of you for your resposnes...now what is a girl to do LOL
