Hi everyone! We will using the Deluxe Dining Plan (5 of us- Mom (53) Dad (61) Me (30) Nephew #1 (16) Newphew #2 (14) in May!

The WDW Website says we get any combination of '3 meals per day'... does that mean we could have one signature meal, and two other TS meals per day if we wanted?

Is it 3 TS credits per day per person?

Or is possible to eat at one signature restaurant and two other TS meals in one day?

Thanks so much!

You will each get 3 TS credits per night stayed on your package. For example if you have a 5 night package you will have 15 TS credits each. You can use them how you like from check in until midnight of the day you check out. You divide the credits up how you like over the days of your trip. We almost always use the DxDP and find that 3 meals are a bit much, it's a lot of food! We typically do a breakfast or early lunch and then a later dinner. I try to make sure there are at least 8-12 hours between meals and we use those snack credits in between.

Signature meals are 2 credits each so you can do one per day plus another TS meal.

We are doing the Deluxe Dining Plan in June. There are four of us for a total of 24 credits for 8 nights. We plan on stretching our the dining plan over 9 days using up our last credits before they expire at midnight of the day of checkout. This way we usually do 2 TS a day with one being a Signature. We are flying out the day after and staying near the airport.

On the DxDDP you get 3 dining credits per night per person which can be used for Table Service or Quick Service meals. All of your credits will become available when you check in and will remain available until 11:59 PM on your check out day.

You can use as many as you wish in a day so your plan for a Signature and 2 additional TS in one day is fine, although that will be a lot of food. With 5 on the plan that would be 5 apps, 5 entrees and 5 desserts at lunch and dinner. When we did the DxDDP we usually ate two meals a day, similar to what Mom2Stitch described.

On our recent trip we used the deluxe dining plan. This is the strategy we used to for a party of 3

Snack credits were used for most breakfasts in conjunction with the refillable drink containers for hot beverages: coffee for him, tea for me, and either tea or cocoa made with milk for the tween. You will find that there are many 1 snack credit items available at resort QS for a satisfying breakfast including fresh fruit, bread and pastries and yougurt.

Either TS or QS for lunch if we chose to eat that instead of more fruit for snacks.
A 2 credit signature dinner for almost every night of our stay. Exceptions were room service/private dining which are also 2 credit meals.

This worked fine for us as we are not big breakfast eaters and rarely wanted anything hot beyond the morning beverage.

When we left 11 days later we had no snack credits left and 5 meal credits. The meal credits would have been used if no one caught a cold on the trip.

Is it 3 TS credits per day per person? Yes

Or is possible to eat at one signature restaurant and two other TS meals in one day? Yes as long as the non signature meals are 1 credit @ piece.

Thanks so much!

Thank you everyone!

Thank you, that makes complete sense!

Thank you! We are used to DDP, and this is our first time doing delxue DP!

Thank you! My dad is a BIG eater and he didn't feel like the 'regular' DP was enough food... we'll see how this goes! haha! I plan on eating something for bfast and lunch so I can enjoy dinner! haha!

Thank you! I'm not sure if we'll be doing too many 2TS meals as my dad wants to have three TS meals per day... he's a big eater. haha!

Thank you everyone!

Another thing to consider is the amount of time 3 TS meals a day will take because it will cut into touring and park time. Typically once you're seated a regular TS meal on the DxDDP takes about 60 - 75 minutes and a Signature is generally 2 hours (or more). You also have to factor in travel time and wait time at the restaurants before being seated.

Excellent tip, thank you

Trying to wrap my head around the DxDP: I think DxDP includes appetizer (as well as entree and dessert), which will be a lot of food. We have 5 adults and 4 kids... can just the adults order a TS meal (non-buffet), and then share their meal with the kids? (Do the kids need to order their own meal as well?) If ordering a meal for kids on the DxDP, can they order an adult meal or do they need to order off the kids menu?

When we do DlxDP we do either a pre park breakfast buffet or an early lunch and then a later ADR at a signature. The only time I would consider doing 3 TS in a day would be in Epcot just for the fun of it. I would start with an early ADR at Garden Grill and then choose 2 TS in the World Showcase. It really is a lot of food as each person gets an appetizer, entrée and a dessert. I would imagine that most in your party will not finish all of your food even doing 2 TS a day (1 being a signature), so your Dad could sample from others as well if he didn't get enough. We enjoy doing the signatures more than the regular TS meals just because of the quality of food and the amazing seafood and steak options that you can have.

Yes, adults can share their meals with the kids. We've done this fairly often, with an "adult" (over-10) kid sharing a meal with a kid-aged kid rather than making the younger one stick to the rather uninteresting kids menu choices. The only restaurant that requires everyone at the table use their own credit is Via Napoli.

On the DxDDP, there is no difference between kids and adults credits so kids are usually allowed to order from adult menus. There have been a few reported exceptions but they seem to be individual cast members taking a more literal interpretation of the plan rules that is the norm.
