Use for CS breakfast on the day you leave or if you do not leave early use it on a TS for a character meal at a resort.

Count me in as another one who is happily doing the deluxe plan on my next trip in June. I cannot understand the too much food thing either, especially with the regular plan. It is two meals a day. I think most people eat at least that a day, if not more. We do not use all our snacks for food. We used most of them for beverages that we would have paid for in the parks anyway. I don't like lugging bottles of water around in a backpack. I ate fruit for dessert at most TS places. All you have to do is ask. I never had a problem being accomodated. I can't eat all that dessert either, so fruit works well for me. I do like to have a salad before meals, so give me my appetizer!! My DH and I made the decision to go deluxe after we remembered all those times in crowded CS places, juggling trays and kids, and not being able to find a place to sit. Now we can go sit down for lunch and dinner, get waited on, and relax. We will only do CS for breakfast on our next trip. I look forward to not having to deal with the CS lines when the parks are hot and crowded.:)

   I signed up for the deluxe plan!!! It's a surprise...shhhh. My mom thought we were only getting the basic dining, but wait until I tell her we're going somewhere new every morning. I can't wait to eat my way through Disney World!!! YUM!

As of now my plans are to use the majority of our credits for the TS restaurants. Though there are a couple of CS restaurnants that I will use some of the extra credits for such as Columbia Harbor House, we can't get enough of their tuna, and the Pepper Market. Where else can you get a Steak with all of the fixins for a CS credit. And last but surely not least WGP Express.
Now does anyone know how the breakfast CS is being handled this year? Are you still able to get a hot and cold item plus 2 drinks?

There will be 7 of us ( 2 under 9 and 3 teenage boys) and I am thinking about doing the dxlddp. What are the best signature restaurants or 1 credit where kids can get a good meal similiar to ours. I know that I need to check menus too) I thought some of the experienced Disney goers mught beable to offer advice.:)

I know kids can order steak at LeCellier ($2 upcharge), fish at Coral Reef and Pasta at Tutto Italia.

Can't wait to eat my way around the World in 8 days!!!

We'll be using it on our August trip!

We used the regular DDP on our trip last May and we spent SO much OOP paying for extra snacks, CS meals (with so much walking, we got hungry!), etc, so this time, we wanted to make sure all of our meals are taken care of.

We plan on doing all TS (we're still deciding where we want to eat) because why use a credit on an $11 CS meal when you can get a $100 TS meal?

Teenaged boys!!!! yes definitely. I mean if they eat like my son (who never stops and seems to get skinnier:confused: ) I'm planning on as much food as possible...I like it and eat it...but he eats us out of house and home.

Add us too!!!! I just upgraded to deluxe dining for our June trip and have made our ADR's, I'm so excited! I also would like to know what breakfast consists of when using CS credits. If you get a few beverages we could use those and put them in the fridge in the room (such as apple juice or milks) for the kids to have at night.

We are doing the deluxe plan in June...:cool1: It will be a lot of food but worth it in my opinion... We are eating at a couple signature locations. We are going with some 1st timers and I feel the character meals alone saving us precious park time is worth it.... All of our children are under 9 so it's definately worth the extra's...

Although I don't know what we are going to do with all of our snack options... It will be fun trying to use them..:rotfl:

I already decided...if we have snacks left......we are definantly going to Goofy's at DTD and having a bunch of custom dipped snacks made to bring back for my girls at work.popcorn:: :woohoo: popcorn::

with the deluxe plan, we could have Donald breakfast in AK, lunch at crystal palace and dinner at a nice restaurant 2 snacks, plus a refillable mug? I don't think we'd do all 3 in one day, but just so I understand.

Yep! To clarify.....you only receive one refillable mug each....but of course it can be refilled daily or however often you would like! You can use 1 TS and a 2TS option and 2 snacks in one day....or you can mix TS and CS. It is a very flexible plan.

We are planning on doing the DxDP in October. :) I am crazy so I sat down & went through every menu figuring out our costs to make sure it would be a good plan for us. Well, we are two adults so the plan will cost us $140 per day, we are staying for 11 nights, for a grand total of $1540.

If we didn't have the Deluxe Dining Plan we would spend $1715 on meals (figuring VERY conservatively) + $66 snacks (figuring $3 a snack) + $25 mugs= a grand total of $1805.

So...on the DxDP we will save $265. Any savings works for me. :) :) I think even if we broke even it would work for me as a pre-paid convenience.

On a tip side note, we will need an additional $305 for tips (figuring 20% for tips and 2 of our meals include tips-CRT & Poly Luau).

Here is our schedule (although no ADRs made yet b/c it's too early).

My family (9 people) will be doing the Dxdp in March. We decided that this would allow us to eat at all the signature restaurants we want and not worry about looking at the prices. We are doing all buffets for breakfast and have them planned for later in the morning. Our dinner reservations are all scheduled for 5 or 5:30. We think this is a good plan for our family, I cannot honestly imagine having to stop and eat 3 meals a day and miss time in the parks, so the late breakfast early dinner suits us. We plan on using our snack credits as little meals on the go to hold us over between meals. We will have the refillable mug and will bring our own water bottles/ juice boxes for the kids because we want to use all our SC for food not drinks! A lot of people have mentioned it being a lot of food but I think if you take advantage and use your SC wisely you can get your moneys worth and not end up sitting in restaurants all day! Well see how it goes and IF it is a savings. I have done a rough guess by looking at the menus about how much each meal is going to cost and we think we will save, but only time will tell!
